Flow arts and juggling: A look a 5 different props
Hello Steemers! I am wondering, how much interest is there among you for juggling and flow arts?

One of my hobbies is juggling (flow arts). I play with pois, flowersticks, meteor, fire staff and diabolo but I like to fool around with most juggling toys. If there will be interest I will post more about juggling and might also make juggling-related videos for you guys :) But for now I want to present:

## 5 juggling props/toys

### Cyr wheel
The Cyr wheel is a human-size metal circle which you can grab, stand on or be suspended by. Playing with rotations and inertia, the Cyr wheel can both look and feel amazing.
Below is a beutiful Cyr wheel routine by Rachel Salzman:

### Contact staff
It is called like that because it is intended to also play with it without grabbing. There will be contact between the staff and you, and that is how you should control it. The contact staff looks like a normal staff that has rubber-like exterior in order for it to be more sticky so that you can let go of it and not slip. One uses the whole body to guide the staff.
After you feel comfortable with one contact staff, you can start playing with two. Very soon you will realize that the extra staff changes everything in terms of tricks and feeling.
Let's look at a superb routine by Bret:

### Buugeng / S-staff
Plastic or wooden Buugeng create visually appealing illusions and patterns. Most of them have high contrast or complex patterns printed on them to further help in creating visual illusions.

### Diabolo
This is an actual gyroscope that you can "start" (rotate) and manipulate with a string with handles. When it rotates, it tends to stay at the same inclination (mostly horizontal), as opposed to tipping on one side when stationary. This property of the Diabolo allows for quite impressive tricks.

### Poi
Has a surge in popularity in the latest years in the juggling world as the seem to be a lot of new poi players around the world.
The poi consist of a weight attached to a string and a handle for the string . Holding the handle you can spin the weights in circles, semi-circles, same-time, split-time, anti-spin directions and a lot more other cool names for tricks and trick-combos.
Superman, Meltdown, Hyperloop and Buzzsaw are just a few of some cool trick combo names that come to mind. For the advanced there are three or even 4 poi at one time, many throws and plane switching. Fun all around :)

##### Partner Juggling
Many jugglers like to play with each other ;) This is called Partner Juggling. It can be done with most props if the players really want it, but most popular partner juggling comes from balls, clubs and pois.
Let's look at this couple's exploration of partner poi:

Please tell me what you think about juggling and/or if you like posts like this. Upvote if you liked it. Also, in case you have a juggling question, shoot away and I will try to respond to the best of my abilities.

Have a great day, Cheers!
