We saw a lot of arches on your trip to Southern Utah. This area in Arches National Park is called the Windows Area. There are four arches all close together. 

North Window
South Window 
Turret Arch
Double Arch (more in next post) 

**Arches are fascinating.**

According to the plaque at the start of the hike. 

>The rock in which the arches are formed was deposited as sand more than 150 million years ago. Over time it was buried by new layers, hardened into rock, and shaped by the powerful forces of erosion.

#### North Arch

A very popular destination. There was even a man in his electric wheelchair up at the base of the arch.

#### South Arch
