Mushroom Monday - Early Summer Finds
Here are a few finds over the weekend for this #mushroommonday

The summer ramaria is growing, sadly I missed the nice edible spring ramaria this year.

This is most likely a young ramaria formosa which some say is edible but the field guides say it cause stomach pain.

Another source says that if you remove the tips then you won't get the stomach upset.

For now I'll just stick to pink coral and crown tipped coral instead of this formosa stuff.

My daughter found some tiny little ink cap mushrooms near the base of a Kentucky Coffee Tree.

She probably found them because she likes collecting the large seed pods from the tree.

These little guys barely last a day before melting and turning to dust which is how they spread their spores.

Here is a large mushroom that appears to be a meadow mushroom.

Some got dried up before they could fully emerge from the ground.

I flipped one over and saw it had nearly the right color of gills for a meadow mushroom but it lacks the ring around the stem and the stem was quite brittle... Now I doubt this is a true meadow mushroom. Its best to catch a true meadow mushroom when its gills are pink so you can easily identify it.

Now for a bonus robin egg shell. My daughter thought it was a toy because of its bright color. I was looking up different types of eggs from local birds and my next stop will be to try and find a redwing blackbird egg as they have a trippy design on them. The only problem is I will get dive bombed if I even go near a nest.

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
