Here are a few old mushrooms left over from last year for this #mushroommonday by @balticbadger  This is old chicken of the woods. Whenever I see the old remnants left over I take note of where they are. This fall I will check and see if it is growing here again.  This is what chicken of the woods looks like at its prime. I found this perfect specimen in a swampy area of Wisconsin. It made a perfect meal.  These are some old puffball mushrooms from last year. I find lots of these every fall and they make a really nice meal as well.  These were the only fresh edible mushrooms I found over the weekend. I decided not to harvest them as they are just mica caps.  This isn't a fungi but it kind of resembles a slime mold. This is a pinecone that got flooded with rain the night before and parts of it got water logged.   Just a couple old shelf fungi. When dry these can be used to make a campfire.  This is a strange polypore growing on a stick. I have no idea what the id is. Kind of reminds me of a leech shape :-/ That's it for this #mushroommonday
