Here is a digital composition created from a cold winter walk I had for #treetuesday  This is the finished composition. A nice cold radial design with a focal point of a tractor in the snow.  I had to put on the snow cleats to go walking in a forest preserve. As it turns out they are revamping this preserve to turn it into a more natural prairie land. This little tractor was pulling a cart of some kind to support larger tractors at work.  All day it was overcast and cold with some snow so it was interesting seeing these machines at work taking down the non-native trees in the prairie land area. Here a little grabber machine brought piles of branches to the larger tree handler that threw them into a huge pile.  The tree handler looks sort of ominous and menacing in the cold winter light.  This guy is on mop up duty flattening and clearing the places where the trees have been cleared out. It looks like they are building a lake for water birds as well. This should be interesting because lots of herons, cormorants and storks nest in the trees in the background. They should like the lake close to their nests.  Here is another lake nearby that is frozen over with dead trees sticking up out of the ice. Many birds including bald eagles love these trees as perches.  Many other prairie birds nest on the native trees as well. I suspect this might be an old robin's nest.  Now back to the artistic composition. The gray day made the bare trees form interesting veiny patterns in the sky. So I took a few photos to see what they would turn into.  This sycamore tree was more symmetrical and thinner as a design element.  Here you can see the elements fade in and out of the composition.  To finish off the composition I added a fractal I created in jwildfire. Sometimes to get the creative process flowing I just take a walk and some photos. That's all for now thanks for looking :-)
