Wednesday Walk - Intersection Photos
Here are a few Chicago intersection photos for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay

This week I wasn't able to time the stop lights correctly and I ended up having to wait at a few intersections. This gave me time to do some phone panoramas.

In the middle is an almond shaped building. I wonder how the offices on the short sides feel. Perhaps those are strange triangle shaped rooms.

Most buildings in Chicago are utilitarian in design. Just plain square footprints allow for maximum office space inside.

This is the tallest building in Chicago. It used to be called the Sears tower, remeber when Sears used to be a thing? Now it is the Willis Tower I don't even know what Willis does... Maybe its just a guy who rents out office space.

![PSX_20230118_171848.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/sketch.and.jam/23wMUEBbfXCuHHamR5AYMrTfaaYEexuj5RJ2eRDJeiBDjdC2E8on8dTrNQxQ4h4ca8ui4.jpg)
Here is the CME building. I think a few regulators that work inside had their pockets lined by Sam Bankman Fried to look the other way as he setup his shady exchange.

![PSX_20230118_172129.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/sketch.and.jam/23t77FNdQ8zN2zCcbKBnUL8vfhwUK6TrZjDSZaqXMxgzuCs1WD9s1SAfH1mn28kkYBCqj.jpg)
This gloomy old building is part of the opera house. I worked inside for a few months. Talk about retro office interiors like from the gloomy 50s.

Now for a look down Wacker Ave. This thing is a giant wind tunnel for the windy city. Since Wacker is so wide all the wind off lake Michigan blasts through here and you have to walk at 45 degree angles against it.

![PSX_20230118_172200.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/sketch.and.jam/23vhVwMTjKnA5AtG7exdChrpDhxQTWpnPNfK4ZDmhFokQQh5VddB7TLUSK6KUvbvmb4ex.jpg)
To avoid crazy wind it is better to take skinny alleyway shortcuts.

I took a lunch break just on the edge of the bad side of town. You can start seeing signs of the grime getting stuck on various infrastructure. I suspect this thing will be plastered with stickers and grafitti in a few more weeks.

Now its time to head back home to the safety of suburbia.

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
