I decided to watch something that reminds me those good releases like Guardians, this time Vol 3, not necessarily the best one but one of the best in my opinion, a trilogy that is worth watching in a single seat time. Besides I had another <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://inleo.io/@flixfinder/the-wild-ride-of-cinema-from-silent-flicks-to-streaming-hits-9wf" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="movie" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4268">movie</a> blackout where I didn't remember how it exactly ended so decided to re watch, any of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies are a good movie to re watch anytime of the year. I'm not the type of guy who likes too much musical type of scenes but there is something about Guardians that never goes wrong, either its <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Star-Lord" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Starlord" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4287">Starlord</a>, Groot or <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Rocket_Raccoon" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Rocket" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4263">Rocket</a> pulling some leet moves with a sick song at the back, never feels over the top or cringe. - <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://inleo.io/@flixfinder/imdb" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="IMDB" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4254">IMDB</a>: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6791350/ - Platform: <a class="keychainify-checked" href="https://tv.apple.com/us/movie/guardians-of-the-galaxy-vol-3/umc.cmc.4sfw9bhw8bx6dnyfysc8829rt?at=1000l3V2&ct=app_tv&itscg=30200&itsct=justwatch_tv_12&playableId=tvs.sbd.9001%3A1690698615" rel="noopener"><strong>AppleTV+</strong></a> <img class="alignnone size-medium" src="https://tr0.lol/images/Guardians-of-the-Galaxy-Vol.-3-2023-REVIEW-rtt.png" width="728" height="218" /> <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://inleo.io/@flixfinder/rotten-tomatoes-the-website-that-changed-how-we-watch-movies-3nn" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Rottentomatoes" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4274">Rottentomatoes</a> Rating <div align="center"><img class="size-medium aligncenter" src="https://i.imgur.com/uwwnjtd.png" width="1024" height="62" /></div> <div align="center"></div> <div align="center"><img class="size-medium aligncenter" src="https://tr0.lol/images/Guardians-of-the-Galaxy-Vol.-3-2023-REVIEW-002.png" width="1024" height="62" /></div> <a class="keychainify-checked" href="https://www.npr.org" rel="noopener"><strong>Source</strong></a> <div align="center"><img class="size-medium aligncenter" src="https://tr0.lol/images/Guardians-of-the-Galaxy-Vol.-3-2023-REVIEW-005.png" width="1024" height="62" /></div> <a class="keychainify-checked" href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com" rel="noopener"><strong>Source</strong></a> Something that is a heavy reminder of End Game and what probably make the most impact to the story is Quill mourning the loss of OG <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Gamora" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Gamora" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4256">Gamora</a>, even though she is back she is not the same, I really feel for the guy the entire movie, Chris Patt is such a great actor that this aspect of his character never gets old or over the top, he is funny as F but he can also make you feel sorry for Quill anytime the subject comes up. It seems like it was the topic for the movie because not only the script moves you every time Quill remember <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Gamora" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Gamora" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4257">Gamora</a> but now we got the <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Rocket_Raccoon" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Rocket" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4278">Rocket</a> story. Through the other movies it was evident he has a soft spot or let say horrific memories of how he turn into the android he is, it was a world of pain and experiments that he went through at the hands of "The <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/High_Evolutionary" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="High Evolutionary" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4275">High Evolutionary</a>. LOL this is something I really enjoy about Guardians, how most of the <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://inleo.io/@flixfinder/the-wild-ride-of-cinema-from-silent-flicks-to-streaming-hits-9wf" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="movie" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4269">movie</a> dialogue can be so funny even when they are serious, such a ridiculous name for the main villain. What makes these horrific flashbacks of when <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Rocket_Raccoon" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Rocket" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4264">Rocket</a> was just a little Racoon is how he team up with others who had worst luck than him at been failed experiments, seen hope and friendship between these animals as they dream escape and most at very young age, only to constantly face horrendous consequences at the hands of The <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/High_Evolutionary" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="High Evolutionary" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4283">High Evolutionary</a>. It was Rocket's high intelligence that makes him special after all and that's what test the <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/High_Evolutionary" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="High Evolutionary" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4284">High Evolutionary</a> ego too, things were so bad that at first it look like <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Rocket_Raccoon" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Rocket" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4265">Rocket</a> didn't want anything to do with it even at been an adult but latter on revenge end up been so sweet. <div align="center"><img class="size-medium aligncenter" src="https://tr0.lol/images/Guardians-of-the-Galaxy-Vol.-3-2023-REVIEW-001.png" width="1024" height="62" /></div> <a class="keychainify-checked" href="https://www.space.com" rel="noopener"><strong>Source</strong></a> <div align="center"><img class="size-medium aligncenter" src="https://tr0.lol/images/Guardians-of-the-Galaxy-Vol.-3-2023-REVIEW-008.png" width="1024" height="62" /></div> <a class="keychainify-checked" href="https://www.space.com" rel="noopener"><strong>Source</strong></a> I think its not necessary to go over the cast since for the most part they were the same as in the other two movies, some with more screen time and <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Gamora" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Gamora" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4258">Gamora</a> been the new Gamora that didn't love Quill. Guardians probably same as <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Thor" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Thor" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4261">Thor</a> movies is not one to be strange to emotional scenes, this movies have always been about found family and this time on Vol 3 shows even more by showing just how much they have all grown together as a squat and probably how lucky <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Rocket_Raccoon" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Rocket" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4279">Rocket</a> was after everything he went through. I have to say James Gunn did just a terrific job directing Guardians and not let it be all about fights, shooting and explosions, the story telling goes deep through the flashbacks of <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Rocket_Raccoon" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Rocket" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4266">Rocket</a> story and makes you care about the furry guy, even if he is not human. The <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://inleo.io/@flixfinder/the-wild-ride-of-cinema-from-silent-flicks-to-streaming-hits-9wf" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="movie" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4270">movie</a> does feel a bit long with 2.5 hours and might tire viewers, I certainly at a point felt it was enough with the flashbacks and was asking for them to kill the <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/High_Evolutionary" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="High Evolutionary" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4285">High Evolutionary</a> already, felt like the flashbacks sometimes break the rhythm of the story. There is also the <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Adam_Warlock" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Adam Warlock" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4262">Adam Warlock</a> story line that in my opinion doesn't get much development and context, probably a character that the movie could have exploited way more, I think this happen mostly because every other character wanted a piece of the scene and just with the Guardians we talking 7 OG characters adding the ones who team with them along the movie so yeah that splits too much the screen time and tends to make the movie so long. These are just some minor complains I had about it although watching a <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://inleo.io/@flixfinder/the-wild-ride-of-cinema-from-silent-flicks-to-streaming-hits-9wf" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="movie" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4271">movie</a> this long does makes it feels more immerse on top of the satisfying conclusion to the trilogy. There is a lot of dark humor during the movie and some times just too cruel in my opinion on both sides the good and bad guys, special everything that surrounds <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Rocket_Raccoon" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Rocket" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4267">Rocket</a> and The <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/High_Evolutionary" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="High Evolutionary" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4286">High Evolutionary</a>, the experiments are very disturbing, along with some of the most creative yet simple character designs of the MCU, probably some of them felt visually a bit SAW ish, like the spider bunny with the steel jaws or the Sea Lion on wheels, seriously its on the edge of feeling disgust and sorry for some of them until they talk, that's the moment you feel sorry and have empathy for them but visually they went over the board with it. <div align="center"><img class="size-medium aligncenter" src="https://tr0.lol/images/Guardians-of-the-Galaxy-Vol.-3-2023-REVIEW-004.png" width="1024" height="62" /></div> <a class="keychainify-checked" href="https://www.space.com" rel="noopener"><strong>Source</strong></a> <div align="center"><img class="size-medium aligncenter" src="https://tr0.lol/images/Guardians-of-the-Galaxy-Vol.-3-2023-REVIEW-006.png" width="1024" height="62" /></div> <a class="keychainify-checked" href="https://www.space.com" rel="noopener"><strong>Source</strong></a> If this is not the ending to the Guardians or at least way to <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4972582/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="split" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4276">split</a> them and reboot them, I think they did a great job and was very satisfying even though we have some of the main characters split up from the team but steal leaving the door open for the future. <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Rocket_Raccoon" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Rocket" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4280">Rocket</a> having faced his past and made peace with it, now he takes the lead of a new Guardians team that includes Groot, <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Kraglin_Obfonteri" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Kraglin" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4260">Kraglin</a>, <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Cosmo_the_Spacedog" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Cosmo" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4277">Cosmo</a> and <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Adam_Warlock" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Adam Warlock" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4282">Adam Warlock</a>...go figure this new team. Peter goes back to Earth to reconnect with his grandfather going full circle as he return to the planet he left as a child. The movie also cut for good Peter's mourning not only by going to Earth but also <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Gamora" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Gamora" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4259">Gamora</a> left, this new <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Gamora" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Gamora" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4281">Gamora</a> always felt she was not part of the team and had no connection to Peter so she returns to the Ravagers for new adventures, it would be interesting if in the future we have <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Gamora" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Gamora" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4289">Gamora</a> movies although she is probably too much a support character for that to happen, may be she might show up in movies like Valkire does on Thor movies eventually, I would consider that going split ways generate the opportunity for new adventures to be develop for each one of the characters, but with the current state of the MCU its very hard to think they would put effort of Guardians just two years after their last movie. <div align="center"><img class="size-medium aligncenter" src="https://i.imgur.com/uwwnjtd.png" width="1024" height="62" /></div> <div align="center"></div> <div style="text-align: left;" align="center"><img class="alignnone size-medium" src="https://i.imgur.com/r0yj9oi.png" width="1024" height="98" /></div> I hope we soon have an MCU <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://inleo.io/@flixfinder/the-wild-ride-of-cinema-from-silent-flicks-to-streaming-hits-9wf" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="movie" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4272">movie</a> with the value of Guardians Vol 3, the movie is not perfect and probably not the best of the trilogy but in my opinion this is a very solid 8/10, James Gunn has move to DC now so we wont see the same type of production or who knows anything is possible. Way far than just the action and sci fi aspects of the movie is that good old sentiment of family, friends and adventure that makes a movie like this so special considering how dark is the backstory that was nothing like the other movies, not even when they talk about how Peter came to be <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Star-Lord" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Starlord" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4288">Starlord</a> it just doesn't compete at the same level of <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://horror.fandom.com/wiki/Horror_Film_Wiki" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="horror" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4253">horror</a>. If I have to choose what is the best trilogy of the MCU I got to take Guardians all day, because <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Steve_Rogers" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Captain America" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="4273">Captain America</a> movies are not that solid after the first one and Spider Man movies doesn't have that many characters all with the same goals and feeling like its a big family while they all make contrast with each other personality. <div align="center"><img class="size-medium aligncenter" src="https://i.imgur.com/uwwnjtd.png" width="1024" height="62" /></div> <div align="center"></div> <div style="text-align: left;" align="center"><img class="alignnone size-medium" src="https://i.imgur.com/AbuDA6i.png " width="1024" height="98" /></div> <iframe title="YouTube video player" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/u3V5KDHRQvk?si=8pH47d7N9vTA2Ci4" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <p style="text-align: justify;"><a class="keychainify-checked" href="https://inleo.io/signup?referral=skiptvads" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><img class="alignnone wp-image-2320 size-large" src="https://i.imgur.com/NFNfXhz.png" alt="" width="980" height="193" /></a></p> #skiptvads, #inleo, #hive, #guardians, #marvel, #rocketraccoon, #jamesgunn, #mcu, #starlord, #gamora, #nebula, #drax, #mantis, #groot, #adventure, #highevolutionary, #adamwarlock, #cosmo, #knowhere, #counterearth, #awesomemix, #superheroes, #emotional, #action, #visuals, #closure, #family, #trilogy, #flixfinder Posted Using [INLEO](https://inleo.io/@skiptvads/guardians-of-the-galaxy-vol-3-2023-rocket-takes-center-stage-review-4zu)
