Greetings to everyone on Hive, I'm @skyehi and I'v been on Hive for a few months now. I have to say that I've had a wonderful social media experience being here, sharing content, interacting with other authors and curators. It's no doubt that my love for the Hive Blockchain and all its DAPPs keeps growing. > What inspired me to share this blog is to have the chance to contribute to the promotion of The Hive Blockchain and all its DAPPs. As a developer and content creator, I have a lot of ideas when it comes to social media and one of the ideas I have which I believe would help send Hive out there into the world and make it reach more people is the idea of integrating Hive into other social media platforms in the form of Hive token tipping. Let's briefly discuss how this would work and how it would help promote the Hive Blockchain and its crypto adoption projects. > Before I start, I would state that it's also possible to have Ecency Token Tipping for Ecency or any other Hive based token tipping like Cent tipping and Leo Tipping.  In the realm of decentralized blockchain based social media platforms, Hive shines as a unique and undisputed platform that rewards content creators and users. However to take Hive to new heights and to also give it the recognition it deserves, I believe we need to think outside the Hive-box, literally. Now fellows Hivers, imagine a concept of Hive tipping or any Hive based token tipping making its way onto renowned and famous social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Facebook. > Simply think of how fast the word "Hive" will reach the entire globe. Before I get into the details of how this would work and the hurdles we would need to overcome to get this done, let's imagine a simple scenario shall we. > Imagine the system of tipping content creators on TikTok. TikTok actually allows for tipping with TikTok virtual "Diamonds" which can be exchanged for actual cash. Now simply imagine if Hive could potentially connect with the TikTok company and allow tipping through Hive tokens. This would in a way make more people use the Hive Tokens and introduce them to the world of Hive and all its DAPPs like Ecency. TikTokers who wish to donate or tip their favorite creators with Hive tokens would probably need to have the Hive tokens in the first place. That will certainly boost the Hive crypto adoption agenda. This idea could be done on virtually any social media platform including WhatsApp. This blog I just put together explores the potential of this integration and its significance for Hive's future.  #### How It Helps Being able to link Hive with other popular social media platforms would bring many great benefits to the platform and also to its users. I'll briefly share a few of these benefits. > More People Know Hive - It's facts that many people use TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. Hive can reach those people through these social media platforms or apps. - People who never heard of Hive might get curious and in trying to know about Hive, would be introduced to the platform. Just for the record, that was exactly how I discovered Hive this year. I was going through YouTube when I found a few videos about Hive. --- > Hive Gets Famous - By using Hive tokens for tips on these social media platforms, people learn more about Hive and would end up holding some Hive token. - More people will also be interested in how Hive works and they will be introduced to the world of Blockchain social media through Hive.  #### The Challenges to Overcome As amazing as this idea may sound, I am not ignorant of some obvious challenges that we may face in trying to pull this off. Let's briefly discuss some of these challenges. --- > The Technological Hurdles - We would need to make it work technically. It's going to be a matter of teamwork and technological know-how. The Hive witnesses and developers of the main Blockchain including all witnesses, software developers, analysts and business strategists would have to come together to make this a possibility. - Another thing to consider is that it has to be easy for people to use. It shouldn't be too complicated to understand and to use in tipping content creators. > Rules and Laws - Every social media platform has its rules. We need to be aware of each platform's rules. Platforms that Hive tipping can definitely work on include but is not limited to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. - Clear rules must guide how Hive tips are used on these social media platforms.  #### The Benefits Of This Innovation for Hive Users Now this idea or plan will not just benefit the Hive Blockchain but I believe in someways will also benefit the Hive users as well. Let's discuss a few of these benefits shall we. > More Earnings For Users - With this idea or suggestion, Hive users can earn Hive on Hive and also on these huge social media platforms. This would only mean, more ways to earn! - It might also make content or product makers promote their work in new ways. Through Hive tipping, funds could be raised to help and develop new things that would make our world a better place. > Stronger Hive Community - More people using the Hive Token basically means a bigger, more active Hive community. - With the larger community connected, together we will make Hive even better.  To draw the curtains on my blog post, Hive tipping on TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook could be a gateway for Hive to get one hundred times bigger than it already is. It would open Hive to new people and ideas. It's a bit tricky to execute since some of these other social media organizations might not want Hive to overshadow them but if we manage to pull it off, it can help Hive grow and become known.
