it’s a venue for concerts!

Kogu cafe is originally from Malang, but they also opened in Surabaya last year named Kogu Space. To be honest, this is the largest cafe I’ve ever visited. We can’t really see this cafe from the side of the road because this place also has a large parking spot in the front. But after entering the parking lot, we can see the front door of this cafe.

For me, this cafe is absolutely big. When we first enter, there’s a main bar for order. Kogu’s interior design is dominated by the color blue, white, and brown. And the details of this place are also very cute, such as pretty mirror and other decorations they put up.

This cafe also provides various seating options. But the main attaction is the one with tribune or grandstand layout. I know some cafes are also have this kind of seating spots, but this one is bigger. We can sit right there or go upstairs to see the tribune area from the second floor.

According to their instagram account, there are Indonesian singers who have held concerts there, a stand up comedy event, and also dance competition. So it seems like this place specifically made for holding events like that.

Kogu space has 3 floors so we really don’t have to worry about not getting a seat or having to sit close to other visitors’ tables. From what I read, they even have a VIP room. On my first visit, I knew that there was a beauty brand held their event in a private room–maybe it was the VIP space that they provided. But I don’t know if the private room can be occupied by individual general visitors or not.

Beside all of that, this cafe also has more facilities like a fairly comfortable prayer room, power outlets for each seat, and cute toilets. The toilets are really cute, but I didn’t capture it because I felt awkward doing it😁 and they are also very clean, so that’s another plus for a cafe.

They have many food and beverage options. From coffee, non-coffee, rice bowl, pasta, and also snacks. I kind of expect the menus are pricy since this cafe is great from all aspects, but turns out the price is reasonable which is always a good thing. The ordering method is also very convenient because each table has a barcode that if we scan, it lead us directly to their menu and so we can order directly too. After that, we just need to confirm to the bar at the front.
