Tests, tracks and skis

Been ill for a change... note the sarcasm. Been having some fun overall though and haven't been letting life get me down. On Friday I had some blood tests and Daddy sat with me while the nurses missed in my left arm and had to go over to my right. Happens often enough and although I did cry, Daddy didn't have to hold me as tight as he once did as I know just put up with the pain. The tears just make me feel better I think.

The picture is of me playing with the toys afterwards while Mummy paid the bills. 400€ for bloodtests.... That is a lot of Lego my friends.

It was *another* Daddy/ Daughter weekend and due to being ill, we had to cancel many of the fun things we did have planned but today, we snuck out to the shops and bought something cool.

Next week at daycare I am going to be skiing and I didn't have skis so we went to a sports store and picked some up. They are pretty awesome, I don't even have to take my shoes off to ski, they strap straight on. While Wednesday will be the official daycare skiing day, tomorrow Mummi is going to teach me how it works and she even built a ski track of my very own in their backyard.

Daddies and Mummies generally teach children to ski in Finland, but mine have to outsource the job to others it seems. We were meant to go ice skating too and while Daddy has a few professional ice hockey player friends, he is determined to teach me himself. *I am guessing there will be no winter Olympian in this household.*

Oh, the other thing that we got today was an air humidifier for my room to see if it helps with my breathing so that I can sleep through the night. I guess even Daddy is getting tired these days. It is probably because he is getting older and can't keep up. Hopefully he has the presence of mind to still take some photos of me occasionally before senility really sets in. He has a new job too though, so I have to cut him some slack while he learns to take orders from someone other than me.

Well, let's see how the skiing goes tomorrow, but I heard Mummi say that she has made the track so I can't fall over. Where is the fun in that? I am going to find the biggest hill I can and just go for it. What's the worst that can happen?
