# This won't be a very long post, but I just read some news articles about what's been happening to a once powerful freedom fighter.

### To those who don't know who Julian Assange is, he founded wikileaks. If you don't know what wikileaks is, you've been living under a rock! He ruffled a lot of feathers by exposing private information and government corruption, and is a wanted man! He is also wanted because of allegations of sexual assault, but I personally think these are false allegations...

### Finding asylum in Ecuador's embassy in London, he is currently living in a 215 square foot room with his cat. If that's not bad enough, phone calls and internet have been denied. He can't have any visitors either. He's completely cut off!

### Even though he hacked and angered Sarah Palin in 2008, she is speaking out for him, and said, "I appreciate him so much I actually probably apologize to him for calling him out. He’s all about freedom. He wants people to have information. That’s power."

### The Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Maria Fernanda Espinosa told reporters, "He still has no access to the Internet and communications ... there is a dialogue, there is a will and an interest to move forward in the solution of that matter."

### I found out this forced isolation has been going on for months - since March, so when are we going to move forward here?

### The articles I read indicate that he is being silenced to avoid him from issuing statements that would influence others, or complicate relations between the countries protecting him, and the countries accusing him. 

# Someone who has fought so hard for free speech now has a gag in his mouth.
