Keep Your Workload Realistic.

Planning Your Time.

Working in both social media and SEO, (Search Engine Optimisation.), as well as managing website development, content writing and even proof-reading can take up a lot of my time.

I find that I either have too little to do or just far too much, so getting a real balance of what to take on and what not to is important to ensure that I do not create an unrealistic workload that means I am unable to meet all the deadlines. Unexpected challenges always crop up, so when it comes to factoring the number of hours I work I also need to factor this in, whether they happen or not. Should a problem present itself it can set me back a few hours which then has a knock on effect to all my jobs.

So when it comes to work, plan carefully your amount of time for each job, factor in an additional 10% just to cover yourself on each task. And as a rule of thumb, if you are working a 40 hour week, you should only take on 36 hours worth of work (that 4 extra hours cover the unexpected.)

It really is much easier if you take this approach, rather than get in a situation where you are letting clients down.
