The nature of the seminar was to teach people why crypto has value and what it is used for.

Answering and explaining the most beginner questions to wonderful people who had only heard about crypto but wanted more hands on advice. Over 25 people came with just a few days notice only spreading the word on WeChat with just my own personal network, I think it was a great turn out. I hosted the event in Dalian China at one of the nicer café’s that had the facilities to present a PPT and use Wi Fi. https://s9.postimg.cc/yy7a0vhnj/image.jpg It was in part sponsored by YOYOW who sent me some advertising materials back in the fall for a YOYOW meet up I will host in the coming weeks. I used Steemit and Bitshares as examples of blockchain’s value and why people would want to buy them. Many people just don’t understand what its reason to exist is and primarily only think of Bitcoins being used as cash. I explained their thousands of blockchains and how each one is meant for a different purpose and that a bunch of them are also scams. https://s9.postimg.cc/e1b1wq6xb/mmexport1523031004068.jpg I showed them how I turn crypto in to cash, load my debit card and pay off my bills, take cash out of the ATM, travel and use it like money. I mentioned how to trade on Binance and other exchanges like BTS DEX. I used Bithares as an example of why people trade on decentralized exchanges and why people would buy, trade and use it. https://s9.postimg.cc/hm6xfndy7/mmexport1523030901091.jpg Of course I had to talk about Steemit since it was what introduced me to crypto. I showed them how I got started in crypto how Steem tokens and Steem Backed dollars gets its value. How people buy it so they can power and have a larger share of the Steemit pie and why people buy and sell SBD to trade on the markets or use on the platform. I talked about what and ICO is using YOYOW as an example and how important it is to research ICO’s before investing in them. I told them how YOYOW is a new blogging platform where people can get rewards for sharing their stories and photos. I will host a more casual YOYOW meet up soon for people interested in blogging where I will explain in more detail how YOYOW works. https://s9.postimg.cc/uhex2fgcv/IMG_7135.jpg I showed them how to get an Exodus wallet and how to keep it secure by keeping safe the private keys and not letting other people gain access to it. There are many wallets I explained but Exodus is very easy to use and offers a variety of coins for safe keeping. I didn’t go on much about mobile wallets as I don’t use them myself. https://s9.postimg.cc/etdpvt0sv/mmexport1523030970011.jpg Here's Mike presenting how Ledger works and why it's important. I wasn't the only speaker and maybe next time we'll have more covering more expertise on different aspects of the Crypto-Sphere. https://s9.postimg.cc/proze3zpr/image.jpg In all I say it was a success. Afterwards I did some **Q and A** for anything I may have missed or needed clarifying. I’m quite certain everyone learned a lot about getting started with crypto and why it has value in today’s world. I will be hosting more events like this for locals who missed this one and for those who want to know more about specific topics like **”Vetting an ICO” and deeper training on how to trade without being a shill to specific tokens.** I’m still getting positive feedback that’s inspiring the next my next event. https://steemitimages.com/0x0/https://s7.postimg.org/6xx10b2uj/Intro_To_Crypto_Flyer.jpg **Until the next one. Keep Steeming!**
## Special thanks to YOYOW and Steemit for helping make this happen, the BitShares family.
