With the sucess of my boards this year I am encouraged to make more. I still have space for a few dozen more and hoping next year the solitary bees will be in larger numbers.  I am finding a good system for making them, doing channels in pairs I know they will line up and each crescent forms a circle when combined.  Took me a few hours to make these, I think I have space for another dozen. Looking forward to harvesting the cocoons in a month or two. Hoping I will have many females, as they do all the work building the homes.  Took me awhile to make a template. Fitting six holes on each board takes a measuring tape and marker.  I try to do these on cool days so standing out in the sun for hours is not as hard. The router stays cooler that way too. I used to do this routing in the garage. But I found the dust build up too much to deal with.  I wearing good ear protection I noticed I look like that thing that rolls the ball in that Katamari game. My ear muffs giving my head that shape... hahaha Planning on making more boards soon.
