While I was walking by the side of the house, I came across a really small Bee. A fraction of the size of Mason Bees. There was also a Black Ant on one of the flowers. Helps to get a comparison of their sizes.  I am unsure of what plant this is, but the flower has a scent to it. Not very pleasant, but probably designed to smell like something that attracts Ants and Bees.  The Bee and Ant seemed to stick to their own flowers and did not get in each others ways.  At one point the little Bee takes flight but stays close to the flower. It seemed to be checking out the Ant while flying.  It bobbed in and out of the flower and showed interest in visiting them again. After flying around the flowers for a few seconds it returned to a flower to feed or collect pollen.  I have seen these Bees before but do not know their actual name. But seem quite busy visiting flowers regardless.  The little Bee takes flight again but this time moves to a lower part of the stem that holds some other flowers. Pollen can be seen building up on legs of the Bee. It must have been quite busy recently.  Seems it was really liking this plant and went on from flower to flower. Or maybe it did not want to be near the Ant. Who knows... lol It's probably a solitary bee of some kind. Maybe one day I'll figure out what kind it is.
