I've [noted](https://steemit.com/steemit/@somethingsea/warning-for-all-steemit-users) that all posts on steemit are public, and uncensorable, essentially forever (or until the blockchain breaks down, or the internet is completely destroyed?). Predominantly, this does not concern people. They are excited about both the possibility of making money with steemit, as well as the ability to speak their mind without being censored. It might start concerning you later, and this has nothing to do with whether you "have something to hide", but with people's inability to perceive reality in a sane way. At least for the moment, there are mostly anarchists on here, so is it such a stretch to imagine people taking your words to mean something drastically different, if not outright the opposite, of what you said? @herzmeister talked about #maidsafe [on a post before the other one](https://steemit.com/steemit/@somethingsea/steemit-has-zero-privacy-forever). If steemit could institute such a thing online - if it were possible to do such a thing - that would be the best of both worlds. That is, an uncensorable medium where you can alter the privacy settings of your post in a customizable way, at your will... including privacy against the NSA.
