Antes de comenzar quiero decirles que no me equivoqué con el inicio del video, así comenzó nuestro viaje gracias a nuestros maravillosos guías. Y la que tenía la mayor parte del bochinche, aunque no lo crean, no era yo, sino mi hermana que es tres veces más alborotada que yo. La primera fábrica fue una de licores artesanales llamada Müsle Wein, aquí nos dieron a probarlos sabores que tenían disponible, en el que estaba uno semiseco a base de mora, muy rico, y tres semidulces a base de mora, uchuva y fresas. Mi favorito fue el de mora, y me compré una botella, la cual no hemos probado aún. --- --- As you already know, in addition to the Tour to the site we paid for a Rustico ride around Colonia Tovar, the ride included visits to several factories located in the town. En esta nos explicaron el proceso para hacer las cervezas, el cual está descrito en el video. También nos dieron a degustar un poco de cerveza de parchita, pero yo, aparte, me compré uno de mora porque me encanta. También estaba muy bueno y la parada estuvo chévere porque además nos sentamos un rato a descansar. --- --- Then we continued on the tour to the Hydrangea garden, and after some time we arrived at my favorite place: a brewery. Here they explained the process to make the beers, which is described in the video. They also gave us to taste some parchita beer, but I bought a blackberry one because I love it. Pero esta, aparte de ser una fábrica de salchichas, tiene el Récord Guiness por la salchicha más larga del mundo. Tuvo una longitud de 15 Metros y pesó 498 KG. Aquí vendían unos pinchos, nos dieron a probar un pedacito de salchichas, que estaba muy rica, pero no quisimos comprar los pinchos porque costaban 5$, eran muy pequeños y ya se acercaba la hora del almuerzo. Mis tíos si compraron muchas salchichas para llevar, y aproveché de comer mucho. --- --- And if I said that the brewery was my favorite place, I won't say anything about the sausage factory because I know I have a lot of friends here who are quite ill-thinking 😂. But this one, apart from being a sausage factory, holds the Guinness Record for the longest sausage in the world. It had a length of 15 Meters and weighed 498 KG. Here they sold some skewers, they gave us to taste a little piece of sausage, which was very tasty, but we did not want to buy the skewers because they cost 5$, they were very small and it was getting close to lunch time. Nuestros guías nos recomendaron un sitio bueno, bonito y barato. En este sitio fue donde en realidad pudimos descansar bien, fuimos al baño,, cargamos los teléfonos y esperamos mucho por una mesa. Cuando estuvo lista nuestra mesa ya estabamos listos para pedir porque ya habíamos visto la carta. --- --- And since these tours are well timed, by the time we were done for our approximately 3 hour ride in the rustics, it was already time for lunch. Our guides recommended a good, nice and cheap place. It was in this place that we actually had a good rest, went to the bathroom, charged our phones and waited a long time for a table. When our table was ready we were ready to order because we had already seen the menu.  |  -|-  |  Y obviamente pedimos comida alemana, el precio era 4$ por una salchicha y 6$ por dos salchichas, podían ser, Polaca, Alemana y Mixta, que era una de cada una. Además, esto incluía dos contornos, que constaba de ensalada de papas y una ensalada de col, que estaba increíblemente deliciosa y amaría saber como se hace porque me encantó. Yo pedí una Polaca porque la Alemana suele ser picante y no quería sentirme mal luego de comer eso. --- --- And obviously we ordered German food, the price was $4 for one sausage and $6 for two sausages, they could be, Polish, German and Mixed, which was one of each. In addition, this included two side dishes, which consisted of potato salad and a coleslaw which was incredibly delicious and I would love to know how to make it because I loved it. Acompañamos nuestra comida con jugos de fresa con tomate de árbol que estaba delicioso, y mi papá se pidió un jugo de guanábana. A mi sobrino le sirvieron su salchicha acompañada de papas fritas, que es el plato infantil, solo porque pensaron que él no se comería la ensalada por ser niño, igual se disfrutó su comida y yo no dudé en robarle una papa frita en cuanto se descuidó, jajajaja. --- --- My poor dad, @hiramdo, was sad because he got to eat (just kidding). We accompanied our meal with strawberry juices with tree tomato which was delicious, and my dad ordered himself a soursop juice. Nadie puede comprar una casa allí sin comprometerse a utilizar su espacio para la producción agrícola, es una ordenanza municipal y todos deben acatarla, esto me parece increíble, ya que aprovechan el gran flujo de turistas para vender sus cosechas en un puesto cerca de la plaza del pueblo. Luego de almorzar aprovechamos para pasear por la plaza y comprar algunas frutas y vegetales, en nuestro caso compramos, moras, uchuvas, fresas y frambuesas y las trajimos a casa. Con estas hicimos un jugo de frutos rojos que estaba demasiado rico. Las uchuvas las compramos porque teníamos mucha curiosidad y estaban realmente ricas, tienen un sabor bastante ácido y adictivo, es como un tomate pero más dulce. ¿No les provoca llevarse a casa todo esto? --- --- Colonia Tovar is an agricultural area, and if this town and this community has taught the rest of the country anything, it is how to be self-sustainable. No one can buy a house there without committing to use their space for agricultural production, it is a municipal ordinance and everyone must abide by it, this seems incredible to me, since they take advantage of the large flow of tourists to sell their crops in a stand near the town square. After lunch we took the opportunity to walk around the square and buy some fruits and vegetables, in our case we bought blackberries, cape gooseberries, strawberries and raspberries and brought them home. With these we made a red fruit juice that was very tasty. We bought the cape gooseberries because we were very curious and they were really tasty, they have a very sour and addictive taste, it's like a tomato but sweeter. El sitio es una fábrica de chocolate, pero lamentablemente estaba muy congestionado y no pude hacer fotos de los chocolates. Estaba lloviendo en el momento en el que llegamos y todo el mundo estaba bajo techo, así que era algo complicado hacer más tomas del lugar. Sin embargo, logré el cometido que era ir por mis fresas con crema, compré un vaso del tamaño de mi cara y déjenme decirles que me pareció tan exagerado que no pude terminarlo todo. Lo llevé de regreso a mi casa y lo terminé de comer allá. Ahora, hablemos del sabor, y sé que tal vez haya opiniones divididas con respecto a esto, pero no me gustaron, la crema no era buena, el dulce estaba bien, pero la crema es lo que es más importante. Para mí, el primer lugar de todas las fresas con crema de todo el país está en Caripe, Edo. Monagas y no pienso discutirlo, esa crema aún perdura en mi memoria. Esta estaba rica, mejor que muchas que venden en la ciudad, pero no le llega a las de Caripe. Es todo lo que quería decir acerca de esto. --- --- We could not finish this post without talking about the legendary Strawberries with cream of Colonia Tovar, I think I spent all day waiting for this moment, even when we had lunch my aunt told me to buy some dessert and I told her to wait for the strawberries with cream. The place is a chocolate factory, but unfortunately it was very congested and I couldn't take pictures of the chocolates. It was raining by the time we arrived and everyone was indoors, so it was a bit tricky to get more shots of the place. However, I got the job done which was to go get my strawberries and cream, I bought a glass the size of my face and let me tell you I thought it was so over the top I couldn't finish it all. I took it back to my house and finished it there. Now, let's talk about the taste, and I know there may be divided opinions on this, but I didn't like them, the cream was not good, the sweet was ok, but the cream is what is most important. For me, the first place of all strawberries with cream in the whole country is in Caripe, Monagas State and I will not argue with that, that cream still lingers in my memory. This one was delicious, better than many sold in the city, but not as good as the ones from Caripe. Comer juntos, en familia y en compañía de otros es parte de un ritual ancestral. En la actualidad, comer en familia llena nuestra memoria de recuerdos para siempre, no hay nada más que una a las personas que comer, y si a esto le colocamos comer en un sitio distinto, con un paisaje hermoso y una preparación deliciosa, lo hemos logrado, es el máximo. Amaría seguir viajando y comiendo cosas ricas distintivas de cada uno de esos sitios. No más hamburguesas (a menos que sea en EEUU), comamos la comida típica de cada sitio, llenemos nuestra memoria de recuerdos y de felicidad nuestros corazones. --- --- Food is a fundamental part of our lives, if we do not feed ourselves, we can die of starvation. As human beings evolved, we also began to cook our food after the discovery of fire. Eating together, as a family and in the company of others is part of an ancestral ritual. Nowadays, eating together as a family fills our memories forever, there is nothing else that unites people than eating, and if we add eating in a different place, with a beautiful landscape and a delicious preparation, we have achieved it, it is the maximum. I would love to keep traveling and eating delicious things distinctive to each of those places.
