Todos los miércoles de Semana Santa, en todas las iglesias Católicas de Venezuela, se realiza la procesión del Nazareno que es la figura de Jesucristo el día que fue azotado y humillado por las calles, entonces se hace una procesión recordando esos momentos, donde la gente acostumbra a vestirse de morado o lila, algunos incluso usan coronas de espinas para pagar una promesa por algún milagro concedido, estas personas hacen un sacrificio este día y muchos ponen a sus hijos a pagar también promesas por salud, estos niños son vestidos con ropa morada y los llevan a la procesión. * * * <center></center> <center></center> <center></center> * * * Si dijera que este año me levante temprano para asistir a la procesión mentiría, mi intención era asistir al gimnasio y hacer ejercicio, pero por cosas del destino al salir, me crucé con la procesión y las personas de alguna forma me integraron, al darme, helados, agua y a señalarme donde ubicarme como dándome un espacio para quedarme. Por lo que no me resistí y lo vi como una señal para estar allí y orar por mi mamá y por mí. Decidí acompañar esta imagen por tres cuadras, ya que inician a las 11 a. m. y terminan a las 11 y 12 de la noche. Durante todo este tiempo las personas cargan estas pesadas imágenes y recorren las calles. Observe que los hombres que cargan la imagen tienen en sus cuellos paños y son usados para secar su sudor. Cualquier persona desconocida o no para ellos, se les acerca y les seca el sudor, en señal de agradecimiento. Las personas prenden velas aunque es de día y se mantienen caminando con su vela encendida. * * * <center></center> <center></center> * * * Yo pensaba que solo sacaban en procesión a Jesucristo pero no, también detras de él, estan las tres Marias, son las mujeres que acompañaron a Jesús en el calvario, esta información se la pregunté a un joven con algo de pena 🫢🙈. Aunque habia muchas personas, sentí una energia muy tranquila, las personas casi no hablaban estaban conectadas con el ritual. * * * <center></center> <center></center> <center></center> * * * La alcaldía estuvo atenta para servir a los ciudadanos, con puntos de hidratacion, regalando agua, también estaban trabajadores de defensa civil con sillas de ruedas y asistiendo a las personas mayores o ha cualquiera que se sintiera mal, porque es verano y las altas temperaturas que afectan a todos. Incluso a mi lado un ancianito se desvanecio cayendo de rodillas, para su suerte cayo justo cuando estaba rodeado de los parámedicos quien lo atendieron de inmediato. Yo me asusté y pensé lo peor, gracias a Dios solo fue malestar de tensión pero se lo llevaron, el señor andaba solo. En estas actividades no faltan los vendedores ambulantes que aprovechan la oportunidad para ganar algunos bolivares, al vender velas, palma bendita, helados, y golosonas. Vi una madre con una caja de velas y su niña vendiendo. * * * <center></center> <center></center> * * * Para finalizar, mientras estaba en la procesión me reencontré con una amiga que no veia hace más de 20 años, estoy muy feliz por esta grata coincidencia. Y mientras escuchaba la música sacra que el grupo tocaba yo pedia en silencio por la salud de mis familiares, la reconciliación de los pueblos, y por la esperaza de un mañana mejor.
