Durante una expedición de trabajo dos agentes forestales descubren algo misterioso en la naturaleza, cuando se separan la mujer es herida por una trampa que le impide caminar siendo rescatada por dos hombres padre e hijo que viven en el bosque sin contacto con la civilización y siendo sobrevivientes de los ataques de la naturaleza, la agente forestal mientras se recupera descubre como es la vida de estas personas, ella quiere volver a la ciudad, pero cada día se encuentra más enferma porque dentro de ella renacen brotes de plantas por haber inhalado una sustancia tóxica proveniente de unos hongos.

When I select a movie, I usually know nothing about it, nor what genre it is, nor the cast of the production, absolutely nothing, I just let myself go by its title and its poster, if those two things call my attention I will see it, Gaia attracted me because I associated its name to a page of spiritual development and I was surprised because it was a horror film with a spiritual message and I like those two aspects very much.

<h2><center>The plot of the movie</center></h2>

In a dense forest, two people who work as forestry agents are separated by the loss of a drom, in those moments both feel that they are being watched and strange things happen around them, the woman falls victim to a trap that makes it impossible to walk breathing for long time spores that make her enter a trance state being rescued by two men as I said before father and son, the first impression I got from these men is that they were cannibals who were going to devour her as the main course of the night; However, after taking her to their hut and cleaning themselves because they were full of mud and plants as camouflage, you can see their true intentions, which were to help her recover.

The woman's wound is delicate, as you can see an omen that goes through her foot, however, her recovery is accelerated by the combination of plants provided by the older man, during those days she learns the history of these men and understands what happens in the forest. The father is a man who at first glance looks like a savage with mental problems, but throughout the plot, this character undergoes a transformation that goes from the wild to the cultured and rational and back to the wild, his story is that he was a botanical scientist expert in seeds something like that, I do not remember well, who went to the jungle with his wife and son, this family changed their lifestyle for the passion of research, but this man to see so many things that impressed him adopted a philosophy based on an apocalyptic faith leading him to live away from all civilization.

His son is a young teenager who knows how to survive in nature, acquiring the knowledge of his father in botany and medicine, but is illiterate and ignorant of technology in its entirety, as he has wanted to keep his father with the excuse of supposed protection, the woman who accompanies them the forestry agent is intrigued by the innocence of this young man and wants to teach him the things of the modern world through his cell phone angering the father. This young man had never seen another woman and is attracted to her, and between the two begins a relationship of friendship, she looks at him with feelings and sadness for the life that the father has forced him to live and he sees her with eyes of desire.

> Cuando selecciono una película, por lo general no se nada de ella, ni de que genero trata, ni del elenco de la producción, absolutamente nada solo me dejo llevar por su título y su póster, si esas dos cosas me llaman la atención la veré, Gaia me atrajo porque asocie su nombre a una página de desarrollo espiritual y vaya que me lleve una sorpresa porque era una película del género de terror con un mensaje espiritual y esos dos aspectos me gustan mucho.

<h2><center>Argumento de la película</center></h2>

> En un denso bosque dos personas que trabajan como agentes forestales se separan por el extravió del un drom, en esos momentos ambos sienten que son observados y cosas extrañas pasan a su alrededor, la mujer cae víctima de una trampa que la imposibilita para caminar respirando por mucho tiempo esporas que la hacen entrar en un estado de trance siendo rescatada por dos hombres como dije anteriormente padre e hijo, la primera impresión que me dieron estos hombres es que eran unos caníbales que la iban a devorar como plato fuerte de la noche; sin embargo, luego de llevarla a su cabaña y de limpiarse porque estaban llenos de barro y plantas como camuflaje se pueden ver las verdaderas intenciones de ellos y eran la de ayudarla para que se recuperara.

> La herida de la mujer es delicada, ya que se puede observar un agüero que le traspasa el pie, a pesar de eso su recuperación sucede de forma acelerada por la combinación de una plantas que le suministra el hombre mayor, durante esos días ella conoce la historia de estos hombres y entiende lo que sucede en el bosque. El padre es un hombre que a simple vista parece un salvaje con problemas mentales, pero a lo largo de la trama este personaje sufre una transformación que va desde lo salvaje hasta lo culto y racional y nuevamente a lo salvaje, su historia es que era un científico de la botánica experto en semillas algo así, no lo recuerdo bien, que se fue a la selva con su esposa e hijo, esta familia cambio su estilo de vida por la pasión de la investigación, pero este hombre al ver tantas cosas que lo impresionaron adopto una filosofía basada en una fe apocalíptica llevándolo a vivir apartado de toda la civilización.

> Su hijo es un joven adolescente que sabe sobrevivir en medio de la naturaleza, adquiriendo los conocimientos de su padre en botánica y medicina, pero es analfabeta y desconoce la tecnología en su totalidad, ya que así lo ha querido mantener su padre con la excusa de una supuesta protección, la mujer que los acompaña la agente forestal se siente intrigada por la inocencia de este joven y quiere enseñarle las cosas del mundo moderno a través de su celular enojando al padre. Este joven nunca había visto otra mujer y se va sintiendo atraído por ella, y entre ambos comienza una relación de amistad, ella lo mira con sentimiento y tristeza por la vida que el padre lo ha obligado a vivir y él la ve con ojos de deseo.

While the woman recovers in the cabin and the men go out to look for food, she takes the opportunity to review and finds the notes that the botanist keeps, they are his observations and secrets. She is recovering from her foot, but her whole body begins to get sick and sprouts plants, something happens in that nature that keeps them imprisoned in that place. Already decided to leave, she wants to take the young man with her and secretly they both agreed, but this does not happen because the father interfered in convincing the young man to stay. 

Being in the forest during the day the only danger is breathing the spores of these fungi and at night is where a kind of strange beings come out, half-plant and half-human, they have no definite shape and are thirsty and hungry. 

The woman who is the only female figure convinces the father to reveal everything he knows and he agrees on the condition that she tells him what she can see, performs a ritual, and goes into a trance like a deep dream where he sees the reality of things and what will happen in the future. Knowing the fatal fate that awaits her son at the hands of his father, she decides to tell him only what he wants to hear.

Throughout the film I felt a little intrigue to know what had happened to the mother of this boy, it turns out that she is still alive only that she has been transformed into a tree that the father worships as a goddess and he goes to her for medicine and guidance, this is where the older man clings for love of his faith finding a meaning to life based on fear mixing the sacred scriptures of the Bible as the story of Abraham.

> Mientras la mujer se recupera en la cabaña y los hombres salen a buscar el alimento, ella aprovecha de revisar y encuentra los apuntes que esté botánico guarda, son sus observaciones y secretos. Ella se va recuperando de su pie, pero todo su cuerpo comienza a enfermarse saliéndole retoños de plantas, algo sucede en esa naturaleza que los mantiene preso en ese lugar. Ya decidida a irse quiere llevarse al joven y en secreto los dos estaban de acuerdo, pero esto no sucede porque el padre interfirió convenciendo al joven que se quedara. 

> Estando en el bosque en el día el único peligro es respirar las esporas de estos hongos y en la noche es donde salen una especie de seres extraños, mitad plantas y mitad humanos, no tienen forma definida y están sedientos y con hambre. 

> La mujer que es la única figura femenina convence al padre para que le revele todo lo que sabe y este accede con la condición que le diga lo que ella puede ver, le realiza un ritual y entra en un trance como de un sueño profundo donde ve la realidad de las cosas y lo que va a suceder en el futuro. Conociendo el fatal destino que le espera al hijo de manos de su padre, ella decide decirle solo lo que este quiere escuchar. 

> Durante toda la película sentí una pequeña intriga por saber qué había ocurrido con la madre de este muchacho, resulta que ella sigue viva solo que ha sido transformada en un árbol que venera el padre como a una diosa y este acude a ella en busca de medicinas y orientación, es aquí donde el hombre mayor se aferra por amor a su fe encontrando un sentido a la vida basado en el miedo mezclando las sagradas escrituras de la Biblia como el relato de Abraham.

I think this film is an excellent product because besides having a good plot, it has 4 characters at the beginning: the two forestry workers, the father, and the son, and then all the facts are developed based on 3 characters, the woman, the father, and the son. Giving the impression that it is not necessary to have a large cast to make a good film.

98% of the atmosphere was in the forest, the costumes were little, and the music was perfect according to the emotions that made the viewer feel. 

I felt there was more suspense than horror, so I wouldn't categorize it with that genre, and lovers of gory scenes will likely be dissatisfied.

I learned about one of the sexual paraphilias I was unaware of, <a href="https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dendrofilia">dendrophilia</a>  which describes sexual attraction to trees and plants, including their use as sexual objects. Although this part is somewhat complex because it deals with paraphilia as an observer, I did not see it as a repulsive act, but as an act of love, I felt compassion for the character of the father, as he loved his wife turned into a nature goddess.

This movie left me with several minutes of reflection about our beliefs and love, I recommend it to you.

Esta película me perece una excelente producción porque además de tener un buen argumento cuentan con 4 personajes al inicio que son; los dos trabajadores forestales, el padre y el hijo y después todos los hechos se desarrollan con base en 3 personajes, la mujer, el padre y el hijo. Dando la impresión que no es necesario contar con un gran elenco para realizar una buena película.

Un 98% del ambiente fue en el bosque, el vestuario fue poco, y la musicalización perfecta acorde con las emociones que hacían sentir al espectador. 

Sentí que hubo más suspenso que terror, así que no la catalogaría con ese género y es probable que los amantes de las escenas sangrientas queden insatisfechos.

Aprendí sobre una de las parafilias sexuales que desconocía, <a href="https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dendrofilia">la dendrofilia</a> que describe la atracción sexual hacia los árboles y las plantas, incluyendo su uso como objetos sexuales. Aunque esta parte es algo compleja porque trata de una parafilia como observadora, no lo vi como un acto repulsivo, sino un acto de amor, sentí compasión por el personaje del padre, ya él amaba a su esposa convertida en una diosa de la naturaleza.

Esta película me dejo varios minutos en reflexión sobre nuestras creencias y sobre el amor, se las recomiendo.
