Hello, Steemers!

World Rally Championship is in crises. It's in crises for years, more then decade. All started in 2004 when team bosses started to give seats of their expensive cars to paying drivers.

VW - current manufacturers champion

So, who are paying drivers? All the guys who bring millions of €/$/£ to teams. That's the guys from very rich families who can afford that their son tries something like WRC. Do they have to be talented? Yes, of course. But they are not talented enough. That's why guys like Sebastien Loeb or Sebastien Ogier, guys who came from nowhere, with no money and from no rich families, BUT WITH PURE TALENT beat them at almost every rally.

Sebastien Ogier - today became a champion for the fourth time in the row

So, who are this rich hobby guys who ruined WRC?

Jari Matti Latvala - biggest disgrace of the sport. Crashed so many cars during his career but with more money filled inside the team (M-Sport) saves his seat for seasons.

Latvala - had to be fired for so many times but money and his manager Joukhi saved his seat

Timo Joukhi - Finnish manager with catastrophic deals for World Rally Championship

Mikko Hirvonen - good driver, won many events but never quality to beat the best. His/his managers's money took seat at Subaru in 2004 from Colin McRae - UNBELIEVABLE (Hirvonen was booted after only one season). His uncle run VW business in Finland (with VW Golf won Finnish championship).

Mikko Hirvonen

Andreas Mikkelsen - his father is a millionaire who bought RAM-sport in 2000's that his son can drive Ford Focus WRC in WRC. After big crises in 2008 he stopped investing in golden sonny but after that he - AS A NORVEGIAN - got a seat in Škoda UK (can you imagine that no Briton was worth of that). How he got that? Probably with money. Now in VW. Not bad driver but not good as champ Ogier.

Mikkelsen - another sonny millionaire

Mads Ostberg - his father is millionaire owning ADAPTA company. Invested millions in his golden son. When Mads got seat at Citroen three years ago, he said: "I got paid for driving for the first time in my life." Not bad but not good as champ Ogier.

Ostberg - same as Mikkelsen

Hayden Paddon - his family was owning industrial company in New Zealand. They sold it and sonny can drive. He said somewhere that he invested a few million $ before got contracted for money at Hyundai. He has talent but will he be a champ? I doubt while Ogier is active.

New Zealander Paddon

There's much more golden sons with plenty of money waiting to buy a driver's seat and that's the problem. Before guys with pure talent start to get a job in front of golden sons with money, there won't be a change at the leader board. And the championship will be boring for more years. Same guy is a champ for four years (Ogier became a champ today) and before him there was another guy - champ for nine years. Money turns the world around. But what about sport?!
