With our first full month in the rear-view mirror it’s a good time to have a look back to see how our Precious Silver Mermaid has been going.  It feels like everything has been running pretty smoothly but it’s good to have a look at the hard data every now and then to see if anything unexpected shows up.

First we have a look at the Total Votes that Precious has been making and since Precious votes on ALL members of #SteemSilverGold this is a good general indicator of the activity of our members.  We can see that this has been pretty steady and on most days there is about 75-80 votes dished out on any given day.  This suggests that our members are regularly and reliably posting regardless of what the STEEM price is doing.  This is actually VERY good because at the start of the month STEEM was about $1.40 and then over the course of April it TRIPLED to peak at $4.40.  You wouldn’t know it looking at this chart.  It tells me that #SteemSilverGold members are not just posting for the money.

Next we have a look at the Total Vote Weight that Precious has been making.  This effectively factors in all the different Contribution Tiers and shows whether we are sticking to our Daily Vote Budget which is the Red line.  Early in the month we had a lower Daily Vote Budget because we were ramping up and getting our first SP Leases sorted out.  At the back end of the month we’ve been a little bit over Budget and our Voting Power dropped into the low 70s as a result of that.  It has not been too severe though this is something we will need to keep a close eye on.  We are expecting to wind back some of our Vote Weights in May after taking on some new Contributors.  We just need to get our May SP Leases sorted out first.

We also look at the Average Votes that Precious is making according to the day of the week to see if there is any trend showing which days are busier or quieter.  This kind of information can help to understand and anticipate how our Voting Power will fluctuate over the course of an average week.  Here you can see that mid-Week (Wednesday and Thursday) our members are posting a bit more but overall it’s pretty steady.

So overall our Precious Silver Mermaid is going well and **more importantly** so are the members of #SteemSilverGold.  Long may it continue!
