.jpg) ___ There is really no easy way to success anywhere and for those of us on Steemit it can be hard. Many people see the idea of **blogging and getting paid** as a good idea and so they jump in, forgetting that goals needs to be set. Setting goals are of categories and knowing the ways to go about setting these goals is what today's topic is. Do you set goals? How do you set your goals? Are your goals setting conforming with the standard your industry has set? Setting SMART goals will help make you a better steemian. **WHAT IS SMART GOALS SETTING?** ---- • S = Specific • M= Measurable • A = Attainable • R = Realistic • T = Timely **SMART** of course is an acronym for the above words and we will go through them one at a time. This method is mostly used by corporate organizations and it keeps getting adopted by other industries as it has a proven track record of helping these individuals meet and even surpass their target. _____ • **SPECIFIC.**- The specification of your goals asks What, Why and How? As a steemian, you must be ready to answer these questions and after answering them learn and strive to live by them in your day to day working here. **WHAT**-See Steeming as a career that you would go to in-spite of your poor health. **WHY**-make a conscious decision to be alive and wide awake to understand why you are here. **HOW**-Tell yourself in a pitch how you intend to deliver on your goals as a steemian and how you hope your work will impact on the bottom-line of the Steemit ecosystem. When you are able to answer these, you will have taken a very important step to understanding what your job function will be like. ____ _____ • **MEASURABLE.**- The saying goes that, *If you can’t measure it , you can’t manage it.* To become a happy and fulfilled individual through your Steemit journey, you must first learn to measure your goals in the early stages and also be able to keep that measurement in mind. It is only what you measure you can manage. Many people fail to retain their success because they failed themselves before they started. Have a measurable goal as a Steemian and you will be able to manage your life outside of steemit. _____ ____ • **ATTAINABLE.**- It is important to set goals that you can achieve. Many people set goals that are impossible for them to achieve because they want the world to see them for who they are not. Goals you set which are too far out of your reach, you probably won't commit to doing, and when you don't commit to doing them, you may have opened yourself for failure. The community is still young, and we just crossed 300k users if I am right, so be sure to set those goals as they can be reached by you. Do not set your goals based on what you see other people setting, they may have a whole different ball game. ____ ____ • **REALISTIC.** - In our discuss on goal-setting, a *Realistic goal* means a "do-able goal." This doesn't in anyway indicate that you should look for "easy," it simply means that you must be sure about your goals and be truthful to yourself. Don't worry about being truthful to your customer first, just be truthful to yourself and then your customers or people who know you will see nothing but a man that is embraced the new reality. _____ _____ • **TIMELY.**- You must as a steemian set a timeframe for the goal: Putting an end point on your goal gives you a clear target to work towards. For starters, set a realistic timeframe as to when you will deliver on your goals. You could tell yourself how you intend to get things done, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly. ____ .jpg) **HOW DO I USE THESE AS A STEEMIAN?** I think it is pretty easy.., apply your SMART. Out here, it is a concrete jungle with so many ways for you to take to success or failure. Whatever it is that brought you to Steemit should be enough to get you on easy street for the rest of your stay here if only you can just be FOCUSED and work on your time here like it is your day job. ____ **Do not be caught under the wrong category, TRENDING is better!** Do not be like the ***somes*** in life. **Some are doing their utmost best to make an impact on society while some are just here for the ride that leads nowhere.** **Some are determined to be the best at what they know and do but get carried away with the distractions of chasing after the wrong rewards, while some are so concerned about what Mr. Anonymous is doing that they loose themselves in the crowd.** **Some are busy looking to impress the *top guns* that they end up getting shot in the leg.** **Be the change you want to see because, Steemit has so much to offer!** Join us on [discord](https://discord.gg/Czadne2) and learn how we are decentralizing the offline and helping people like you live beyond conventional earnings. >>>>>***Steem Accelerator Hub... decentralizing the offline!*** Image [source[(fremont.edu)
