An artist made this digital painting, then asked me for a paintover (in a public forum many years ago).

Comments about this one: the original was made in 3d, which is a notoriously difficult medium.  I painted over it in Photoshop, focusing on the realism and likeness of the characters.  I moved the light saber, I judged it a better composition pointing away from Spock and crossing the dark surface of Darth.  I also darkened the background a bit behind him.
