Lions Gate Bridge is a good vantage point for shooting fog rolling over Downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park. The forecast was for fog clearing by noon, but we all know how forecasts go :) So I decided to take my chances and head up to Lions Gate Bridge to see if the fog was low enough to pass under the bridge; it was :) https://stanleyparker.ca/intro/images/vlcsnap-2018-01-14-20h41m33s19.jpg Being on the bridge is very loud and the whole thing shakes from all the traffic, so it's not the best for video, but the views are spectacular and the fog adds an extra layer of magic! I asked the pigeons to stop their aerial acrobatics for 15 minutes, but the didn't behave ;) What looks like some bugs flying around are those cheeky pigeons (Rock Doves).

Using a video camera to do a timelapse isn't the ideal way; 15 minutes of HD video uses up a lot of storage and battery power, but it's all I've got. During the time-lapse recording there was a bald eagle that flew by, and I almost stopped the time lapse to capture the fly-by, but I just pulled out my scope and enjoyed it for myself :) I did catch another immature bald eagle flying by and into the fog, so that was nice! Thanks for watching!
