I nearly dumped Steemit – Lost four [4] accounts in three [3] months It took me a whooping three months to create and own a functional Steemit account. As these challenges were coming one after the other, I created and lost four [4] accounts in a quick succession. However, the success stories and visible earnings on Steemians pages looks too good to be left out of the growing opportunity. I nearly dumped Steemit but thanks goodness I never did! As took a reverse check of what happened and why it happened, all I saw was naivety. The reoccurring feature of the four lost accounts was tampering with the password unknowingly. For the second and third accounts, I wrongly copied the password while for the first, I never copied it. Sincerely speaking I was carried away and forgot all the clearly written instructions. For the fourth account, I opened it in a cyber café. Few days later I returned to the same system to do some work only to see that it has been open and a young man was feeding on the content – I discarded it. Rule number one of Steemit account opening – first copy and store your Blockchain password elsewhere. Any lost password cannot be retrieved again. Creating and losing four [4] accounts aren’t a joke for me and you don’t need to go this process. You will most likely save yourself some of the effort if you ask for guidance from an experienced Steemian. It’s never near rocket science but asking for instructions helps a big deal. Many people like myself delved into Steemit via mere information from a seminar facilitator. Taking a few hour to read up about it on the site will save you a lot of hassles. If you have succeed in locating a mentor like @jglowsinger, you are blessed. Apart from irregularities emanating from loss of passwords, you may face some huddles when you are using a bad network provider, and the duo of email and phone number already existing on the Steemit data base.
