**ENGLISH VERSION**

Today I want to tell you the story of Fritz, a story that unfortunately hasn't always been happy, but despite this, his life has been full of love.

It all started one spring morning, 6 years ago when my mother and I went to see my uncle, because he hadn't been in touch for a few days and hadn't answered his phone. Upon our arrival we made a terrible discovery, unfortunately my uncle had died, he had had a cardiac arrest while he was on the sofa and next to him was Fritz, his beloved dog heartbroken and shaken.

A mixed breed weighing 40 kilos, a very good and lively dog, with a great desire to play. My uncle was a bit of a hermit and was also a bit grumpy, but he absolutely loved his Fritz, he never made him want for anything and raised him good and healthy.

As a first eventuality, we had some friends of my uncle look after Fritz, while we took care of the funeral and my grandmother's house, which had remained empty.

Do you think that poor Fritz for the trauma of having seen his beloved master leave, for an entire year, every day at exactly 19 in the evening he began to howl and cry. We always assumed it was the time my uncle passed away.

Calm things down a bit, We brought Fritz to our home. We had to wait, because at first we were too busy and Shyla is at home, a very good rottweiler, but inside her garden she could have been more territorial and not accept Fritz, I needed time to work on them together.

To help us in all these matters there was also my aunt, who unfortunately also left us two years later due to a terrible illness, which I remembered with love in this post, where she was precisely together with her beloved Fritz of hers.

Yes, because Fritz was so good and sweet, that everyone fell in love with him and wanted to cuddle and look after him. In fact, shortly thereafter my aunt wanted to take Fritz with her for a while, during the cold winter, since he was starting to be more than 10 years old and he had to sleep in the garage and it wasn't hot at all in the Venetian countryside.

The freezing winter passes, but my aunt was too fond of Fritz and wanted him to stay with her, who lived alone and that was fine with us because she would keep her company and support her morally.

But shortly thereafter, my aunt unfortunately got worse and she could no longer take care of her beloved Fritz, so he came back to stay with me. Just think that when my aunt was already very ill, she asked me and my brother for a favor, if we could take Fritz to her, because she wanted to see him. So we immediately got to work, I, my mother and my brother washed and cleaned Fritz thoroughly and went to my aunt's. I remember the scene like it was today, my aunt was so happy to see him that she forgot everything else for a moment and threw herself on the ground to hug him, it was really intense.

I had not yet had the opportunity to get Fritz and Shyla together, in previous periods they remained separate. Now it was time for them to learn to be together in the same garden and it was not so difficult in the end. At first Shyla used the streng on Fritz to impose that she was in charge there, he accepted and submitted, once the hierarchies were established there was no longer any problem, on the contrary, it was the beginning of a love story.

I still laugh when I think of all the times Shyla would put Fritz down because she couldn't take it anymore, he was really a pain in the ass, he kept teasing Shyla, both to play with her and because he also wanted something else mmm... Shyla got really pissed at times, but deep down you could see that she liked those attentions, because then she went to look for him ;).

It absolutely did not end here. At this point in the story Andrea, one of my dearest friends, comes into play, who by often coming to visit me had met Fritz, who we don't know why, in what way, but a feeling was born between the them that I had never seen before. Fritz went crazy every time he saw Andrea, he no longer looked at anyone, he only listened to Andrea and followed him like a shadow.

We started often going out together for walks, me with Shyla and Andrea with Fritz, until one day Andrea asked me if he could become Fritz's owner and take him home with him. I didn't think about it, I immediately said yes, because I blindly trusted him and then that love I saw between the two of them was an incredible thing.

From then on Fritz spent 3 wonderful years of his life together with Andrea, who took him everywhere with him, living a lot of positive experiences together. He took exceptional care of him until his last day, even operating when he needed treatment, pampering him until the last moment, when he passed away at the ripe old age of 16. He was so good and sweet, that despite his size he had managed to break through even the hearts of Andrea's sister and her father, who were terrified of dogs. He was just loved by everyone.

We buried Fritz together, Andrea was destroyed, but I too am crying right now because the memories are fresh and both him and all the people he was related to who are gone, I miss them a lot. They left a big void in me.

But I'm happy because Fritz's life was full of love from everyone. He was special, like my friend Andrea who took care of him and did it with great love.

I'll tell you a funny thing about him. He had this thing, that when he was jolted to play and fussed around a lot, he start run with his head down, not looking where he was going and just run in circles like crazy at full speed. On two occasions he hit me once and my brother once: D, now I laugh, but you have no idea what a blow I got with a 40 kilo dog that charged me at full speed. I never understood why this frenzy started in him, he made me laugh, but you had to watch your legs, because he didn't look where he was running.

I wanted to remember a little bit of his life in these posts, a wonderful dog, with a big heart and the desire to be around people and create indelible bonds. The love that a dog can give is, in my opinion, the most beautiful and purest thing a person can receive. Friends, I send you a big hug to you and all your beloved dogs.

https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://images.ecency.com/768x0/https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbBEAePQFbE7wLvXSz1WFTX1psyfaqPTgp2NKiWzKmA3Z/separatore%20finale.png

https://images.hive.blog/768x0/https://images.ecency.com/768x0/https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbBEAePQFbE7wLvXSz1WFTX1psyfaqPTgp2NKiWzKmA3Z/separatore%20finale.png
