🇬🇧 Today I was settle the old digital archives, it was not possible every time to lose a lot of time to look for an image taken years ago... But among the many I found a shot of 15 years ago, my greatest passion the basketball. At the time I was only 13-14 years, in the picture I am the number 11, completely different from now, I had long hair, rebel and I did not listen to anyone. I cultivated this passion for 6 years, I had great satisfaction from this discipline, until the day when I injured the crusader... I left this wonderful sport, was no longer able to express my qualities of jump and I had lost hope.

During those years the Benetton Treviso dominated the Italian stage, also affirmed in Europe. I have been many times at PalaVerde, I remember having seen young talent play which then have militants in the NBA as Bargnani, Belinelli, Gallinari. I remember in particular one match of Euroleague, Benetton Treviso vs Tau Vitoria, a barely twenty year old Andrea Bargnani dunked in the face of a certain Luis Scola, the arena came down that night.

Sometimes I feel like going back to play, I'm not so old at 28 years, but I do not have the time or the physical form to do it. A few weeks ago I went to the court to make two shots, the hand was still good, I started to heat up and exalt me like old times. So I told myself, can I still dunk? Let's try... result, two vertebrae have moved and I have been nailed for a week... I think I have to stay with my feet on the ground :).

🇮🇹 Oggi stavo sistemando un po' i vecchi archivi digitali, non era possibile ogni volta perdere tantissimo tempo per cercare un'immagine scattata anni fa... Ma tra le tante ho ritrovato uno scatto di ben 15 anni fa, la mia più grande passione il basket. All'epoca avevo solo 13-14 anni, nella foto sono il numero 11, completamente diverso da ora, li ero cappellone, ribelle e non ascoltavo nessuno. Ho coltivato questa passione per 6 anni, ho avuto grandi soddisfazioni da questa disciplina, fino al giorno in cui mi infortunai al crociato... Li lasciai questo splendido sport, non ero più in grado di esprimere le miei qualità di stacco e avevo perso speranza.

Durante quegli anni la Benetton Treviso dominava il palcoscenico Italiano, affermata anche in Europa. Sono stato molte volte al PalaVerde, ricordo di aver visto giocare giovani talenti che poi hanno militano in NBA come Bargnani, Belinelli, Gallinari. Ricordo in particolar modo una sera di Eurolega, Benetton Treviso vs Tau Vitoria, un appena ventenne Andrea Bargnani partendo in terzo tempo schiacciò in faccia a un certo Luis Scola, venne giù il palazzetto, che serata.

A volte sento il desiderio di tornare a giocare, non sono così vecchio a 28 anni, ma non ho il tempo nè la forma fisica per farlo. Qualche settimana fa sono andato al campetto per fare due tiri, la mano era ancora buona, iniziai un po' a scaldarmi e gasarmi come ai vecchi tempi. Allora mi sono detto, che riesco ancora a schiacciare? Proviamo... risultato, si sono spostate due vertebre e sono rimasto inchiodato per una settimana... Devo stare con i piedi a terra mi sa :).
