Steem Basic Income - Weekly Voting Report 19 June 2018
# Steem Basic Income
Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

# Still Going Strong
We are up to seven pools, so your upvotes could come from @steembasicincome, @sbi2, @sbi3, @sbi4, @sbi5, @sbi6, or @sbi7. We currently have 2862 members that have posted within the last 28 days. Unfortunately the members that are not posting are not receiving upvotes. There are currently 20359 'shares' in the program, and it grows every day.

With so many inactive members, we have only been able to upvote 368 of the members in pool 1! We will continue to rebalance inactive members between pools, but we are now moving inactives into an inactive list after 30-60 days. Since rebalance cycles do take time to process, the exact cutoff for movement to the list is flexible.

When a member on the inactives list begins posting again, we will see that in our data refresh and reactivate them into pool 6. From there they may begin moving up through the pools again as we continue our rebalance cycles.

@josephsavage does not post frequently enough to get value from his management shares, so most of them are temporarily assigned to @katysavage and @thedailysneak until the automation project is finished. Since they each have over 100 shares, it keeps them at the top of the pool.

As more members begin maxing out the 100 share limit in more than one pool, we see how effectively our voting weight allocation works! Look how even the top accounts in this pool are in their weekly voting weight received. With maxed out shares in the pool, and maxed out voting bonuses, they should be very evenly matched in their value received.

As expected @thedailysneak has sneaked ahead with the benefit of management shares assigned, but the total management shares assigned to pool 2 have almost reached their cap. Soon we will start to see some management shares assigned into pool 3.

## Pool 3 accounts voted

Here again we see very close portion sizes between the top accounts in pool 3 that have maxed out their pool 3 shares. Differences here largely attribute to rounding errors and rebalance delays, but typically even out over time.

## Pool 4 accounts voted

@cicbar came in big two weeks ago, maxing out all seven pools and sponsoring several different accounts in nice blocks. That brings them to a very even level with @dynamicgreentk in pool 4. (They are similarly even in the upper pools, but it's easier to see in pool 4 with fewer maxed out members. @thedailysneak gets a smaller slice here because posting frequency dropped off and max upvote weight has already been achieved. @dynamicrypto has a smaller slice because even though his shares in pool 4 are maxed out, he is not maxing his upvote bonuses.

## Pool 5 accounts voted

We are in the process of transitioning to a better way of dealing with inactive members (moving them to a holding list until they reactivate), so pools 4 and 5 have dropped below 30% inactives again. As we finish the rebalance cycles under the new system, we should start seeing higher upvote counts in each pool.

Here @cicbar has maxed out his shares, but @dynamicgreentk is still growing share count. We also start to see @pgnpiano (who will have nice slices in the higher pools going forward, after being sponsored for a nice bundle of shares a few days ago).

We are still starting most new members in pool 6, as the new treatment for members inactive past 60 days creates a lot more room in each pool. This will probably only continue for a very short time, as new member enrollments have been growing very quickly in spite of our recent delays in enrollment processing times.

Instead of distributing tiny upvotes evenly across every post, members in pool 7 will be capped at 1 upvote per day. Their weekly voting weight will be divided by 7 (1 per day) instead of their full posting frequency. If you post frequently and your votes seem to stop, please check all of your posts for upvotes from @sbi7. You may be receiving only 1 vote per day instead of upvotes on every post.

# Conclusion
We are currently stalled on our project to fully automate all the processes, which has negatively affected our ability to get out regular updates. Since we want members to receive their full bonuses from upvoting, the goal for how many upvotes are needed to reach the full bonus will be based on our actual number of updates, instead of our target of once daily.

## Enrollment
If you want to get involved, or to increase the share of basic income that you receive, enrollment is pretty straightforward:

Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of a Steemian to sponsor in the transaction memo (preceded by @). You and the person you sponsor will each receive 1 share in the program. You can sponsor *any* active Steemian, it does not have to be a current member. If you sponsor yourself, or do not sponsor anybody, we will assign the 2nd share to an existing member.

If you're unclear, please check out our full transaction memo guidelines and let us know if you have any questions.

The official currency for enrollment is STEEM. We are not currently accepting SBD for enrollments transactions. The current delay for processing enrollment transactions is 6 to 7 days, but we are working to cut this down as quickly as we can.
