# Hello!

Between 21:10 and 21:50 UTC Steemdunk services were offline for a database migration. If any votes were missed during this time period for your account, they will have to be manually upvoted. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Services should work exactly as the same as before. If you have any issues, please report them on [Discord](https://discord.gg/hT7gw4B) so they can be promptly fixed.

## Technical Details

ArangoDB has been dropped in favor of PostgreSQL. The reason for this switch is for reliability and easier ORM modeling. The lack of project maturity of ArangoDB has been a pain point in tooling and stability, as well as causing numerous issues during Steemdunk operations.

Postgres has existed for a much longer time period and is proven to be a robust and mature project and is now the primary database for Steemdunk services. There's not much more to explain regarding this decision, though you're free to ask more questions on Discord if you have questions! :)
