# What is "Testing for Rewards"?
---

This is a practice that has come to our attention as of late in two separate unrelated incidents where repetitive nonsense comments are voted on excessively for testing purposes. This occurrence is the impetus of our writing this policy as a guideline for how Steem Flag Rewards will be leveraged in these cases. 

This will also serve to make clear our stance on the practice of tests involving any repetitive posting or comments, whether automated or manual, that possesses a collusive or self voting pattern. This means more than a couple. Steem Flag Rewards Campaigns will be utilized to curb this undesirable behavior in the future.

# Guidelines for using the SteemFlagRewards Bot on content suspected to be "Testing for Rewards" abuse.
#

- Suspected abuse must be repetitive. If it is just one comment, leave a friendly recommendation to decline rewards. Feel free to link them to this post even.

- Suspected abuse payout net total should exceed $0.15 STU. We aren't so concerned about nickel and dime testing when you are allocating more than that to yourself "for testing" then it becomes suspect.
