# <center> Alma mater of the Caribbean makes its presentation </center>

Long before the existence of the Internet, its creators had a clear objective that they wanted it to have: to connect people and for them to be able to associate with an enormous facility allowing advances of all kinds and above all that the information was GLOBAL to such an extent that someone 13 years old and in high school could have the same degree of knowledge as a teacher of 40 and with a doctorate.

The University of Margarita located in *Nueva Esparta, Venezuela* saw its light on January 24, 2000 With the opening of the University Campus, an old desire of the great majority of the neo-Spartans was fulfilled: To have a private house of higher studies, capable of offering integral formation, different academic opportunities, high quality in the teaching and to lodge in its bosom, the hundreds of margariteños, cochenses and residents who year after year achieve their degree in secondary education.

This group of enterprising educators, after a persevering perseverance, achieved that in 98, was formalized by Presidential Decree No. 3034, dated November 20 of that same year, the creation of the University of Margarita, with the Faculties of Economic and Social Sciences, Engineering, Humanities Arts and Education and Legal and Political Sciences.

# <center> Current Emergency Situation </center>

<br>

With the current economic crisis hitting the country, Margarita University and its student council had to declare a state of emergency postponing all academic enrollment until further notice. This could have had several triggers, although one of the biggest is terrible inflation compared to the enrollment paid by each student, resulting in non-payment of staff as well as inability to keep classrooms in an optimal state for students.

Through Steemit we want to propose a new step to open even more the scope of the University offering a content based on its students their careers, experiences, the day to day and the different events that there congenerate, progressively implementing the Blockchain technology both in the administrative part and in the daily life of the students, sharing information about it and encouraging more users to join.
