Changes I'm thinking of making to how I proceed with Steemgridcoin
Hello,

A few things have been bugging me for a while with how I use steemgridcoin and I would like to receive your feedback on things I would like to change.

Preaching to the choir
=

Right now steemgridcoin is funded by upvotes from comments I'm leaving on posts I upvotes which is fine when it's not gridcoin related but in the gridcoin category, I feel like I am preaching to the choir. We are already here for gridcoin so trying to advertise it here is redundant and spammy but it does help fund the account. Since the beginning, in less than a month, the account earned about 9 SP (I purchased and donated the rest and delegated from my main account).

What I would like to do instead is stop commenting in the gridcoin category (I would still do it in the technology/science when I upvote there.) If I was to do this, I would start making occasional funding posts. I'm thinking once a month maybe every other week. Users could contribute an upvote or a donation should they decide to. Using this method, I would be able to lease some SP delegations which would increase the value of the upvote. I'm already doing it to a lesser degree on my own right now.

By contributing like this to funding the account, IF I was to switch to this method, I would change the message so that it is more clear that the community contributed directly to it. I would also create a post giving credit to users who contributed in the previous period.

Upvotes

Browsing through the science category, I've noticed most of it comes without references, once I reach 500 SP (I should have it soon™), I intend on offering 50% upvotes for posts who do not include references and 100% on those who do.
I would probably start upvoting comments from users(not bots except maybe charity bots like @treeplanter) in the gridcoin community at a weight of 10% as well.

Plagiarism
=
Thanks to @barton26, who warned me that I had upvoted plagiarism, I came up with this idea. Users found to be doing plagiarism without putting references and proper credit will be muted and downvoted by the account. There wouldn't be a second chance unless you guys are willing to give people a second chance.

Discussions about interesting scientific articles

If you are interested in having a conversation about an article you found somewhere outside of steem, As long as you credit the author, put a direct link and put the content in quotation and provide an answer to the original article, this would not be considered plagiarism by me.

tldr: no comments in /gridcoin, better reward for references, plagiarism is bad, dont do it

Feel free to give me your feedback and have a nice evening.
