Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the blockchain technology during a meeting today with Hermann Greif, president of Sberbank, Russia's largest bank. "We need professionals in this area," he said.

Greif said his bank would apply the blockchain technology in its work, and suggested to Putin that the Russian government include Balucchin technology in education and vocational training. Greif said:

"We need professionals in this area." He also called for "very precise regulations" that do not prohibit digital currencies. He added:
"There is a need to be cautious but obviously we need legislation on this issue because this technology has a big impact"
