We are happy to announce that after a week of community review that [Steem 0.14.0](https://github.com/steemit/steem/releases) has been released with only a small patch relative to the release canidate.

This is an update to the backend blockchain that powers steemit.com.

We will be updating steemit.com to utilise some of the features (savings accounts) shortly after the hardfork takes effect.
