Nebula NGC 2080, nicknamed "The Ghost Head Nebula"
#### The Ghost Head Nebula is one of the elements of a chain of active star formation regions that lie south of the Golden Fish Nebula and the Great Magellanic Cloud. Two bright areas ("Ghost Eyes"), conventionally designated as A1 (left) and A2 (right), are very hot glowing "drops" of hydrogen and oxygen. Region A1 is formed by hot, intense radiation and a powerful stellar wind from one massive star. A2 differs in a more complicated form, which is explained by the presence of stellar dust. In addition, its structure contains several hidden massive stars. Most likely, massive stars in regions A1 and A2 form during the last 10,000 years, since their gas shell is not yet disturbed by the powerful radiation of a newborn star.
