Be A Ripple Effect Creator
''I alone cannot change the world,
But I can cast a stone across the waters,
To create many ripples. '' -Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa embraces perfectly the human I would love myself to become.
I believe that our innate value is beyond measure.
As human beings, we affect the ones around us much more than we think we do.
We catch on to others that surround us a lot, whether it is by body language, the things we say, or the things we do.
If you know me a little by now, you know how I love to give the example of kindness, as in my life dictionary, there is no such thing as a small act of kindness.
Every act creates a ripple.
There have been many studies that have demonstrated that when someone receives an act of kindness, that person will likely pursue the chain and herself/himself do something kind for someone. Even if we are not necessarily there to see it, we do know in our hearts that we contributed to make this world a warmer place, by bringing a glimpse of joy into someone’s universe.

It only takes one person to start a cascade of change.
That person could be you.

I believe that no matter who we are, every human has emotional needs.
Most of us want to be liked, listened to, included, to have meaningful connections to other humans. But it is not always an easy task as each one of us has different values, perspectives, personalities, desires….
I think that no one in this world receives enough praise.
We all have something great about ourselves.
That is why I love to focus on what I can provide to others.
Giving before I receive and assuming I will not receive are words I try to live by every day.

I am a believer that we can learn so much from others.
If you give me a little piece of yourself along my life-journey I will be happy you did so.
I think that in the end, it does not matter what our social status is, what kind of car we drive, or how fancy we dress.

These things hold no value to my eyes.
I value the person behind the mask.
And I love the moment when the human lets that mask falls and starts to tell me about who she/he really is deep down.
Sometimes, just asking to someone how they are doing and genuinely wanting to hear their answer, can make a difference.

We may be different in who we are and in what we do, but in the end, we are all human.

And I can promise you that when you choose intentionally to do something nice or to help someone, the joy is equally felt in both the recipient and the giver.
For example, if you research online the benefits of individuals who volunteer, you will see that many researches illustrate the increase of happiness, self-esteem and a higher sense of purpose of the ones who are helping others.

In addition to this, I found an interesting fact/quote in a book that I recently read called: ''Live Happy -Ten practices for choosing Joy''.

Here it goes: ''We share 1% or our DNA with our closest friends. We are somehow, among a myriad of possibilities, managing to select as friends the people who resemble our kin. ''
I thought this was simply fascinating.

I am a strong believer that it is so easy to transfer our energy to others.
Hence why if we choose to elevate others with a higher frequency, it will eventually come back to us in a way or another.

In the end, I think that we all have the same power and potential to make a positive change in our community.
This is the website that comes from the book I mentioned earlier: http://www.happyacts.org/
If you are a social media user, you can use the hashtag #happyacts when you do an act of kindness to someone else.

I recently read a french book on human relationships that had a wonderful and powerful quote that I will translate to you here:
''When you take a look at the way you act, ask yourself if you would like your company. ''

We don’t put ourselves often enough in the skin of those who live with us.
I swear, when I saw this quote, I deliberately wrote it in huge prints in my notebook and my phone.
Great words to live by and inspire us to become the best we can possibly be 🌠
