“Wild animals are less wild and more human than many humans of this world” ― Munia Khan **How do you turn to healthy forms of guidance when your inner compass works in dysfunctional ways**? Or when no one ever taught you the difference between a healthy guidance versus an unhealthy one? Or even worse, when you’ve internalized the idea that you don’t have the right to seek for help when you badly need it? **The truth is that even the devil can show up disguised as an angel of light**. And when you are in a fragile place in your life, it’s all too easy to get lured into dangerous games, as they often first appear like fun ones. **Are we victims of our tragic circumstances, or do we hold the power to become actors of change, even when we’ve been through the depths of hell**? Dysfunctional morality doesn’t excuse the choice of someone that makes the conscious decision to do evil to others. You may have been given all the right (or perhaps wrong) ingredients that made you turn a certain way, but the case remain that you intentionally choose to keep on going down that route. Every human being has some dysfunction present in him, the difference is that some use that dysfunction either as a weapon to harm themselves, or to harm others. Others make the conscious decision of acknowledging their dysfunction as a way to disarm its potential for future destruction. There’s a world of difference in between getting triggered and acting upon those very triggers. **When you let yourself become a slave to your triggers, you give your power away**. **You unconsciously give up on yourself and on your ability to become bigger than your fears**. Dysfunction and coping mechanisms don’t have to be the boss of you forever. You can take back control over these bad boys and show them who’s in charge after all. Give yourself credit. It’s all too easy to dismiss the idea that you have control over your circumstances and your life when that very control has been taken away from you. And while it’s an imperative necessity that you heal from the wounds of your story, you don’t have to be forever dominated by that story. https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmesqXT8X5yZ4gEgdYTfLFG75tNNSrHG82yxhLonbwVZjR/steemityourway.gif
