Here's a funky cover from the studio this week with a catchy groove.

We got a free upgrade to nicer rehearsal room that had a much better drum set and cymbal setup, so I didn't use my high hats or ride. It's fun to play on different quality kits and cymbals, akin to the feeling of renting a nice car for the day.

I'd like to highlight that I did a great job accidentally cutting half of myself out of the video, but c'est la vie. Our production crew was taking a break.

I'll probably post Yellow by Coldplay from this session soon. We also play The Scientist by Coldplay, and I got caught singing toward the end (to try to remind the singer where the "ahh-ooohs" were for her parts. Both of my friends looked shocked and said it sounded great afterwards. Busted. I can't really sing while playing the drums anyway, so I should be safe from being asked to help with harmonies. I think they were just hearing what they wanted to hear because I hold no faith in my vocal abilities. It was a close call either way since I refuse to sing for anyone.

We're also looking for a guitar or bass player to help round out the sound.
