We had had a lovely evening. The kids were in bed and we sat on the couch laughing at just how bad the remake of “The Day the Earth Stood Still" was. You see, she wasn't just my wife, she was also my best friend and the person I went to every Sci-fi and fantasy movie with.

Well I was working nights at the time but it was my day off so I was staying up a few hours before I went up to bed in order to maintain my sleep schedule. I played around on my computer games and then went on up to bed. I want to say it was around 4 a.m.

I knew something was wrong as soon as I walked into the bedroom. She normally cocoons herself in the blankets and I am forced to burrow into her for any warmth.

Tonight she was lying on her back, blankets thrown off and eyes wide open. My wife, my best friend, the mother of our children had died in her sleep from a heart attack.

She was 33 years and 3 days old.

I cannot tell you how much you sympathy and well wishes mean to us.

For those who wished to know about the children. My son was 10 and my daughter was 5 when their mother passed. My son will turn 19 this month and has made the decision to enter the workforce rather than further his education. His choice, I would have gotten him through college. My daughter is now 14 and is on track to graduate with honors and pursue a degree in a STEM discipline. Not sure what field yet.

Both of them had years of therapy to help cope with their mothers death and are well adjusted by any metric.
