One of my running aims this year is to put in a lot more miles, so I need to do some longer runs as well as running more frequently. I'm thinking I could do two shorter runs in the week plus parkrun as I did [yesterday](/running/@steevc/parkrun-new-shoes) as well as my Sunday run. My daughter has just started running, so perhaps she can come with me sometimes. Today I just aimed to do a bit more than my usual 10km. I forked off towards the parkrun course and ran part of that before heading back. There were quite a few other runners out in ones and twos going the other way, but I don't think anyone overtook me. I was taking it fairly steady and just had a brief walk on the steepest hill. I'm happy enough to average under 6min/km. I was back to my road shoes rather than my new trail shoes.  I was just reading [the latest](/running/@trevor.george/hutt-river-trails-60km-ultra-marathon-2019-done-and-dusted) from @trevor.george about his 60km race that he did 2 hours quicker than last time. I don't think I'm ready for that just yet, but I'd like to test how far I can run by extending my runs.
