# If you're thinking about having a curation bot set up in Steemit, you might be a bit overwhelmed by the different services that are available to you. 

If you don't know how to code, there are a number of options within Steemit that are available.  A few weeks ago, I finally decided to get a curation bot created by @ontofractal. I am very happy with his service and here's why I recommend using him:

# @ontofractal was very patient with me as I asked him endless questions about the security of my posting key.

The bot that @ontofractal set up for me only requires the use of my posting key, not my master password. This means that even if my posting key was compromised in some way, my wallet could not be accessed. Through our conversation, I learned that @ontofractal has set up about 30 bots in Steemit for Steemians. I haven't had any trouble with my posting key since my bot was activated. Even if you decide to use a different bot-making service in Steemit, I highly recommend not giving your master password to any bots, websites or individuals. Giving only your posting key is the safest way to go, if you cannot code your own bot yourself.

# @ontofractal was very receptive when I asked him to add new authors to my curation bot.

Another reason I recommend using @ontofractal's services is because he is an excellent communicator. I've asked him to add several authors on different occasions, and he responded to my wishes in a very timely fashion. All of our conversations have been very professional and straightforward. For me, communication is one of the most important aspects of being able to trust others, so I was very happy to be working with him.

Golos, for those of you who are new, is the Russian version of Steemit. They are independent of Steemit, but licensed the technology to serve the needs of the Russian-speaking community. [Here](https://steemit.com/golos/@cryptos/the-golos-token-crowdsale-is-now-officially-over-here-are-the-results) is an introductory post about Golos. I haven't yet posted in Golos, but I'm planning on trying it out.  I went ahead and had @ontofractal set up a curation bot in Golos, too. In exchange for having the bots made, my account will upvote @ontofractal's posts. 

# On an ideal day, I manually upvote posts in addition to the curation bot upvotes. 

There are some days, though when I cannot go into Steemit and upvote. This is the main reason I really like having a curation bot. It frees me up to focus on finding new posts and commenting. I did manual voting and commenting for something like 5 months and I feel like I'm not great at upvoting. I am too selective and picky with my upvotes, so my bot really evens out my rigid voting habits. I'm also trying to incorporate digital fasts where I take one or two days off electronics, so the bots really help me stay active in Steemit. 

I'm sure there are many great curation bot services within Steemit. I didn't research many others, so if you have personal experience with them, please add your voice in the comments below.

I reached out to @ontofractal in steemit chat, as that was the best way to contact him. I need to mention that this has been my personal experience and I have no idea how anyone else's has been with him. I definitely recommend using his services if you're thinking about setting up a curation bot.
