_All it took was one sweeping glance for our hearts to bind.
Deeper than this current I swim against, I can feel myself sinking slow.
Slower than this breeze that moves me, I float away from you and into the atmosphere.
I hear voices attempt to summon me, to coerce me back to the fire, and I can’t help but look away. 
I can’t get this colour from my eyes, So I cover you in the ash of yesterday.
In the moments of truth before your footsteps change direction, I give it all up & throw our time away.
In all the white noise that is mistaken for conversation we divide anew,
And suddenly, the real reason for your love appears before me, ashen-faced & juvenile.
You look as exhausted as my heart feels._

_I once feared for all things materialistic, 
Until the day came that this coma ended & I was awake.
Released from this weight, this angst, this control, these expired nuances - I’m a comet burning bright.
Feircely I dive beneath the ice and come away from your encasing poison, 
And unadulterated compassion rears it disproportioned head to stare at you.
But you can’t see from a gash to your head, 
That the words you spill aren't as confident as you feel.
So many lies cloak you like ceremonial garments,
A different face for a different line._

_I used to think that it was me, That I was the one filled with filth, & worse was the hate that spilled.
I had hoped that our universes would collide, Instead I'm immersed in the empty void that is you.
I used to look at you with awe and speculation, But now I see nothing but a hapless shell of a nobody.
If one who loves you can surround you and shatter your heart into a million transparent peices,
Then, much deeper than these currents I swim against, I dont want you anymore.
Now smoother than the breeze that moves me, I become one with the person I had forgotten who I was..
In a different time we were one, Until our demons consumed and snatched out our light.
In place of a man stands a insolent shadow, full of broken memories & deceit,
And I can no longer see your face._
