I have walked this road many a time and walked the path as well where the tree stands through the gate,  and you just see another road, another tree, then we get a heavy snowfall through the night and the composition changes it's the same places but the snow has added something to what could be described as a non descriptive looking area, the road has tyre tracks from a vehicle going down which adds in leading lines drawing your eye into the distance, to the far tree a dusting of snow on the hedges and a nice moody sky threatening to unleash more upon us. 
And the tree through the gate standing in what would be a normally grass pasture has been transformed by the snow covering the ground and dusting the hedges with the white stuff and the tree branches having been blasted by the wind and snow now covered too . As the sun tries so hard to break through the heavy cloud lighting the sky with colour but being over powered by the heavy threatening clouds in the end. What a difference a bit of snow can do to change an image.
