Police have found that using german shephards make for the best police dogs so they have bred them specifically for doing police work and now they have advanced the breed to a very high level.  They are able to detect very specific drugs, and metals that are used for bombs and to detect people hiding.  They are also very scary when they tackle you, their job is keep a suspect in place until the human officers arrive to make the arrest.
