<div class="text-justify">Getting a Netflix account at a time felt like the worst choice I could have made, haha. But alas I am it has proven quite useful. Albeit I don't have the luxury of unlimited broadband anymore, now I have to rely on my internet provider, and boy it is slow and expensive. Still, I was able to get "The Takedown" and it was good, kinda. After I looked through my 'coming soon' category and saw <i>Omar Sy</i>, and was immediately hooked. He is fast becoming one of my favorite actors of recent time, with his charm and energy.</div>

<div class="text-justify">The Takedown seems to be a sequel to a 2012 buddy cop comedy 'On The Other Side of The Tracks'. The movie is about a cop who seems to be the main attraction in his district in contrast to another cop in another district who is an unwanted presence. The both of them, formerly partners are reunited again to solve a high-level murder case. The reunion is not as they might have expected, and what they were up against is not just the murder case, as it seems to be a bigger criminal organization they must destroy.</div>

<div class="text-justify">Omar Sy is a French actor who seems to be rising up the ranks of late. He has stared in some blockbusters like, <i>The call of the wild, Inferno, Jurassic World,</i>, etc. The one TV show he stared in that I saw and enjoyed was, <i>Arsene Lupin</i>, The gentleman burglar. A show about a robber who steals arts and stuff with so much flair and finesse, a gentleman. I loved the show so much that I had to find the book, although I only read a part of it, I enjoyed it. You know you love a movie when you read the book it was adapted from. His latest work is currently ranking #1 and I will tell you the reason why.</div>

#### How Good is THE TAKEDOWN?

<div class="text-justify">First off, I think Omar's acting was quite a marvel. The high-octane face-paced action was something I enjoined, and I think people will appreciate it too. Everybody loves a plot twist, don't they? The ending saw a grand plot twist, albeit you might have seen it coming, but it didn't still take away anything from the movie. The contrasting personality of the cops also adds a light comedy to the show. A bit more than just 'light' I think.</div>

#### ALL IN ONE

<div class="text-justify">One of the major let down in the movie was the 'in one strategy. I mean, how the director tried to satisfy all types of audiences. At one point there was a subtle call from the police. The corruption and how they try to mask their errors and mistake by putting a black guy as the "face of the cops". A bit disparaging. The main character was also subjected to different racial discrimination which also sends an important message. The fight scenes were also a drag. Worst of all; the predictable script in which the rich guy who helps the police turns out to be the bad guy. How convenient.</div><br>

Well, if you have seen it, I'd love to hear what you think of the movie and if you haven't, you should. Till next time. Cheers.
