<div class="text-justify">After my long hiatus from writing about sports, or even writing anything at all; I have decided to e more active here and in every community, I am in. If you love something, you gotta make out time for it, or so they say. Today’s Manchester derby was a thriller. A nine goals blockbuster. A sharp contrast to the tie at Elland Road which saw Leeds United hold Aston Villa to a goalless draw. Premier League football doesn’t get any more boring than that I tell you. But my focus today is on the Manchester derby earlier today, and here are three things we (football fans obviously) learned from the match.</div> <center></center> [Image from Premier League's official Twitter account](https://twitter.com/premierleague?t=ad5dLJdGcRYieyogrJqi8A&s=09) #### ERLING BRAUT HAALAND IS A BEAST <div class="text-justify">I have always admired the young lad’s charisma and attitude in a game, and of course, his ability. He was an absolute menace to Bundesliga defenders during his time at Dortmund, and although I believed he will thrive at Manchester City after his summer move, I just didn’t think he would be this good. Since his first game, he has broken numerous records; the latest which is the fastest PL player to score a hat trick of hattricks. He achieved that in just eight games!!!!! The former record holder was forty games, just to put into perspective how crazy it is. His positioning and finishing skills, coupled with Kevin De Bryune’s vision and passing skills are weapons of mass destruction. Today, he teed up with Phil Foden to kill off Manchester United. The pair both scored a hattrick. Although United had a late fightback inspired by Anthony Martial’s brace, it was too little too late. The game ended six goals to three in favor of the citizens. It feels like the PL golden boot has been decided already and we are yet to even hit ten games this season.</div> #### MAN CITY HAS A FORMIDABLE TEAM <div class="text-justify">I have always wondered how Pep Guardiola assembled such great talents and create a team of superstars. Manchester City has been at their finest best all season. Apart from the stumble at Villa and Newcastle, I see no team currently capable of stopping them. Liverpool could have been a worthy opponent, but they have been in shambles all season. Although Arsenal has had a very impressive start to the season, suffering just one loss in eight games; I reckon they would be no match for City’s guns.</div> #### IS IT OVER FOR CRISTIANO RONALDO? <div class="text-justify">This is not a lesson actually, but more of a question. The Five-time Balon’Dor winner seems to have lost his mojo. He was an unused sub in the game. Manager Erik Ten Hag stated in his post-match press conference that he respected Ronaldo, and he didn't want to bring him on to such a match where his team where trailing heavily. You have to wonder though. Is it over for Cristiano?</div> Well, hope you enjoyed another episode of my footballing rants. May the god of goals bless us with more this season. Lets gooooo. cHEERS.
