A few days ago, @dez1337 contacted me on [steemit.chat](steemit.chat) about an issue he got for posting his contribution under the Development category. I was unable to reproduce the steps that led this bug and assumed that the server experienced downtime.

Today however, I got the same issue and decided to write a step by step bug report in order for it to be easy to reproduce and fix. I'll also include a way to go around the problem as a short fix:

# Reproducing the bug #

- Chose either Development or Documentation (I don't know why it's the only two that are impacted by the bug). <br>

- Synchronize with Github, accept the login page until you can see the repositories you are workin on, on the right side of the screen. The bug also happens if you already synchronized in the past.

- Try to select the repository :

That's where the bug is, the search function works but it is impossible to select the repository. When clicking on the desired repository, instead of filling the input, only the search query remains:

And without the Github project repository, it is impossible to post the contribution. So here is my workaround.

# A workaround before the issue is fixed #

If the contribution you want to post falls under the Development Category or the Documentation Category, follow these steps:

- Click the contribution button
- Instead of Dev or Doc, chose one of the other categories. 
- Search and select the right repository
- Change the category to Dev or Doc
- Finish your contribution normally
- Get upvoted for your awesome work ;)
