My oversea friends think that I am always on the beach or in a hammock everyday but what I really do is maintain my house and other stuff .....and now Steemit.

If you live on an island you have to be your own mechanic, plumber, house painter and everything that needs to be fixed, you fix yourself first....... then call for help if necessary. It's like the manual thing. You keep trying and trying and failing before you actually pick up the manual and read! 

My roof is fixed and now I am painting the outside ceiling on the verandah.

There are only a few people now that I trust to do stuff for me in my house and honest people are hard to find, if some can rip you off they will. 
Just a thing of this world today. People are so greedy they will rip you off for a dollar.

You even learn over the years to service your own car, service your air conditioner and service your pool If you have one.
I like to get creative with concrete and make tiles for my garden so I don't have to call people to do it for me that only use a concrete truck and wheel barrels to mess everything up by throwing concrete all over the  place where I don't want it. Believe me I have been there.

And shadow roofs made of palmleaves for my house to create shade. I attached them to my house and to the tree so they move all the time which looks really natural and I can let them down when a storm hits. For the palmleaves there are certain ways to use them and to split them in half which is a techniek that's really easy if you know it. I looked it up on YouTube.

I use a machete to open coconuts to make coconut oil which is a lot of work and my hammock is empty.

So it's not that I am on the beach everyday.  Most of the time I am just busy in my garden or doing other cool stuff. Except painting my ceiling , that's not cool. 

I will continue the paint job tomorrow. Ugh.
