Short post for anyone who wants to learn Python!
Hello everyone,

It has again been a while since I actually wrote a blog post and most of my free time has gone to streaming and trying to get back into that. It hasn't really been going anywhere to be honest. I have maybe one unique viewer per week and those are mostly kids trying to get me to give away my only weapon skin that is actually worth something. Weirdly enough I don't really mind it though. I try to talk and be entertaining even if no one is watching because it let's me take my mind off the stuff I usually think about and that's good.

Lately I've been trying to find other things that could have a similar effect and I remembered that when I was trying to learn programming it kind of worked. So I thought I'd try to get back to that. I mostly used Python at the time which by now is probably 5 years ago. Programming languages are similar to normal languages in a way because if you don't use it you'll slowly forget everything you learned.

Before anyone says it, yes I do realize the photo is not of Python code!

I was looking for good ways to get back to it and I found a few Reddit posts talking about good books and stuff like that. Now most of these books start from the most basic things but it's easy to find back to where you "left off" and go from there. One of the books that was mentioned the most was called "Automate the Boring Stuff with Python".

I was looking for something free since I'm a bit low on funds at the moment and saw that this one actually cost around 19$ but after looking around a bit more I found an interesting link. Apparently this one site that seems to be for some university in Singapore has it out in the open for free.

I wanted to share that here in case there is anyone who is like me and wants to get back to programming or maybe even want to start from scratch. I looked through the material and it seems way better than the Python literature I got in tech school and seems like one of those books that is actually fun to follow.

So this is the link here in case anyone is interested [Automate the Boring Stuff with Python](https://web.bii.a-star.edu.sg/~liangzhu/2017/11/02/linuxcommandline/automatetheboringstuffwithpython_new.pdf). I hope I'm not doing anything wrong by sharing this, lol. I mean if it's out in the open like that it has to be alright, right?

So that was pretty much it. I just happened to stumble upon this link and thought someone might have some use of it.

Thanks for reading and hope you're all doing great!
