Things are changing in my life.

Last year in July, I've finished my bachelor thesis and received my degree in molecular biology.
I proceeded to work in a biopharmaceutical lab for 3 months, and am currently employed as a lab assistant at the neurobiology lab of my University.

In February, I applied to a University in Ireland to get a MSc in Immunology, and 2 weeks ago, I was officially accepted, which means I will be moving from Germany to Ireland - possibly permanently.@suesa

Many things come with that change. Finding a new home, new friends, new ... everything. And while I am extremely anxious (wtf is the housing market in Ireland even?), I'm also looking forward to all the new experiences - a lot.

Things here on Steem have changed too.

At the very beginning, I was part of @ocd (seems like an eternity ago), and later steemSTEM. I used to blog on a daily basis. Over time, the posts became less, but I guess everyone knows that.

Last year, I left steemSTEM to re-orient myself and joined Utopian.

Community projects have been my main focus from the start because the Steem community is something worth to be preserved. I've met so many of you in person, and I'm looking forward to increasing that number.

Sadly, Utopian turned out ... not so great. I had considered making a long and detailed post about what went down but after writing it I realized that it looked like I'm creating drama and FUD.

Even though I personally don't like the direction Utopian, an awesome project, is going, it doesn't mean it will never succeed. But creating FUD would certainly throw a wrench into the gears.

So, let's stick with *"Utopian didn't work out for me and many others. It makes me sad, but maybe the future will bring change. I hope so, for everyone involved."*

What now?

There are currently no community projects I feel especially connected to.

I currently support @juanmanuellopez1 (who's running a small curation project in Spanish) with 500 SP, @dustbunny with 250 SP, and @cleanplanet with 100 SP. But there isn't really anything I can actively *do* there. Not in the ways I want.

After a bit of thought, I decided to apply to work for @buildteam, because I see potential in what they're doing. Potential to bring new users and investors to the Steem blockchain.

TokenBB (a Steem based forum platform) and DLease (a SP leasing market intended to draw more passive investors to the chain) are their current flagships, and they're looking great.

It's not the community project I've been looking for, but we share a common vision for the blockchain, and BuildTeam certainly has an impact.

So yeah, that's what I'm doing now, aside from occasionally posting stuff here and on @suesa-random.
